Hello Ladies,
I apologize if this has been asked before and I am sure it has, I just haven't been able to find it. I have never actually researched this but is it true that transsexual women have to have lived full time as a woman in order to get the SRS done? I am in Washington state and wonder if it varies by state?
Second question, how would you prove when you actually started living "full time".
Thanks in advance ladies,
Stella
It can depend on your situation and your particular theripist, but in general it is 12 months of rlt/rle as outlined in the current wpath standards of care.
As for proof, again that will depend on what your theripist is looking for. If you've been living full time before you started with your current theripist a referral letter from your prior theripist would work I'd think, if you can get on. Or a dated price for mail with your chosen name ive heard can work for some. Personally, I talked with my therapist and we decided that I had already been living full time and just used the date I publicly posted on my dead fb profile that I was transitioning.
It basically just boils down to "talk to your theripist." Hope that is some help.

I think some insurance policies have this as a prerequisite for coverage; full time for a year, among other things. If you pay out of pocket, you may just need two medical references. I'd really like to know now myself lol~

YouTube vlogs, obv.
Yeah I came out at work on August the 28th last year, so I mean worst case scenario I could use that as a reference. I could maybe go with the date I started HRT in May last year too? I am not sure. I am just wanting to get my SRS done this year and trying to figure the earliest start date.
