Is there anyone here who still plays sports on a regular basis since transitioning?
I'm curious because I always played sports growing up, though now about the only sport I play is Golf.
I'm curious how transitioning will effect my ability to play sports, especially golf? I'm assuming that my gait will change, & running (not in golf but other sports instead) with breasts will take some getting used to.
I still enjoy playing a round of golf from time to time. It helps to relax me.
I'd love some feedback from you ladies. Tell me what you think.
I know this doesn't answer your question but:

I don't really play sports. Even from starting to get very little for breasts I hit the side of them with my arm. I would kinda think some adjustment would be needed for some sports. Wasn't till I came to this site I read about women having a different arm angle. Think they called it the "carrying arm". I do have that and it must make throwing a ball and other things a bit different that the way guys normally would.
I found that my aerobic capacity was negatively affected pretty quickly. Some others here have reported that over time theirs got better again. You will lose some muscle mass so that will probably affect the power of your swing. You can counteract that by lifting weights depending upon how developed you were before HRT.
There is a meme here that women are weak. Well, many of the ones I know are not weak at all. One in my office deadlifts over 300 lbs at around 5'5" with a well proportioned and slim figure. Even my wife at 5'0" has moved really heavy things around when I wasn't around to do it. So don't fall into the you have to be weak trap.

I was the club champion and had a handicap of 2. I realized that as I was on HRT that it would affect my game. It does and after almost 3 years my distance dropped 20 pct. In many cases up to two clubs shorter. But I still play to about a male 10 and feel that i will compete in the Ladies championship as soon as I have recovered from my srs...its every bit as much fun. I think I can get my name on both sides of the Championship board. A first time for my club which is 150 years old .
