The Governor of Indiana is apparently still unable to answer a simple yes-or-no question about whether LGBT people should be protected from employment discrimination.
Indiana stirred up international outrage last year when lawmakers signed the controversial 'Religious Freedom Restoration Act', which gives businesses the right to discriminate against gay people on the grounds of religion.

As a Hoosier I stand unequivocally that Mike Pence must go. And, as a Republican precinct committee-person I will be working for his defeat.
The reason he couldn't answer is because his supporters, the right wing Christians, do want to be able to fire LGBT for no other reason than their sexuality or gender identity.
Of course they, being the righteous ones, do not see that as discrimination at all. To them it's freedom of association or the free market at work. Nevertheless it is in fact discrimination. It is unfortunate but their minds are so thoroughly occluded by their dogmas that they have truly list the ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
And if someone thinks I am being simply anti-Christian about this, go read their forums sometimes. Although you will need to steel yourself against some real nastiness, they talk about this very thing all the time.
There will be no compromise with these people. There can only be their, or our, defeat. Which will it be?

Exactly
Nowhere in the Bible does it tell Christians to discriminate. Sure the Old Testament recommended stoning but it also recommended stoning for adultery and if that was followed there would be a whole lot less self-rightous preachers. Fortunately Jesus pretty much put that aside when he said let those among you without sin cast the first stone, and neither did he condemn. Instead he told people to heap kindness upon those who use you despitefully. Somehow I don't think working for someone when you are gay or transgender, or wanting to buy a wedding cake if you're a same sex couple is treating you despitefully.
You are absolutely right when you say that some of the most un-Christianlike attacks come from Christians.
