So I went to London on Wednesday to the hospital and they said they are gonna put me on T! They've told my GP that I need to be put on T now so yeah some time in the next few months I'll be on T. Hopefully it doesn't take my GP as long to get T for me as it did to get the hormone blockers (a year after the docs in London prescribed it and they finally got it)
But yeah I am excited!!!!
Congrats! You should keep track throughout your process. I'm sure there are a lot of guys in the UK who would really love a step by step/timeline.
Congrats!! Just one question, why did you have to wait for a year to be approved for T? Is that because you weren't born in England? Or are you from the UK? I don't know what GP stands for, but I'm still really happy for you :D

GP is his general practitioner/family doctor. In the UK, the National Health Service covers all gender transition related services, but it's often a lengthy process getting referred to all of the different doctors you need to see at each stage of the process.
Congrats
Congrats!!!
It's because the NHS takes a very long time. Also, wether I get it is dependant on the funding in my area, which is why it took a year to get blockers. But the docs assure me that I can't be denied T, unlike with the blockers. So fingers crossed.

It's 1 yr nearly 2 months and counting for me... hell knows how much longer before someone will just sign me off so I can get T on prescription. It'll take someone 15 seconds to do but I've already waited this long just to have my head checked by the shrink. NHS.
If it makes you feel any better it didn't happen quickly for me. The NHS is just very very slow. I've been waiting for years too. I hope they hurry up for you because I know how awful it is just waiting for years and years.
Let us know how it goes for you.
As for the wait times, yeah. I'm a patient man, but the NHS is helping me find my limits. Not surprised though, since there's supposed to have been a huge increase in trans patients in the last 2 yrs, and I'd be one of them.
Hi there! I don't know how easy or hard it is for trans men in my country (Argentina), but I know that the cost of T is somewhat affordable for people who earn dollars or pounds. And you can get it with no prescription at all. Maybe men here try to get discounts through health insurance, but I don't think they have to wait that much. Our Gender Identity Law doesn't demand a therapist's approval to get the hormones you need, I think.
Congrats! I have my endo appointment in April so I will be going on it soon too. But judging from your pic you pass very well already. :)
And i have a date for when I'm gonna be on T! My first shot is 21st of March! I am really excited!
