Okay people, my hand writing SUCKS.
I was looking at my work today at college and realizing how sorry I felt for my professors.
I slowed down my writing to about 25% and it improved much. But, it's not girly still. It looks like Harry Potter scribble scrabble.
Does anyone know how to improve handwriting, specifically making it more girlish or elvish looking?
Here you go Kalt, this might help.

Neat writing is always a good skill to have, I hope that you are able to achieve your goal. It can take time to unlearn bad habits.
Not all girls write nicely, however; I know a lot of girls that don't write well. My ex-girlfriend, for example, writes so badly that I can't always read it. I think out of my three roommates (all gg's) I write the nicest. I also still write like a teenage girl, unfortunately.
You can take a course in calligraphy. I had it in elementary school and highschool (Incidentally, I did not attend elementary school or HS in the US) so I am proud to say that my handwriting is beautiful :P I have heard that some colleges offer calligraphy classes, so you may want to look into it.
tink :icon_chick:
my handwriting sucks so much that its pointless to explain it.
I just say I'm an aspiring doctor... ;D

But... I AM an aspiring doctor. I'm going to be an endocrinologist.
That's interesting! I never even thought there was a difference until now. I have seen many shocking female hand writing and of course the oposite in males. I think I heard once that artistic talent (eg good at drawing) is often related to nice hand writing.
My hand writing has gotten worse with the computer age. I find that it takes too long to write by hand and I end up hurrying so much that it gets all messy. If I take my time my hand writing is almost identical to my mothers (yes, I'm old fashioned :)).

...
Don't talk to me.
(is uber jealous)
Naw, I talked to the librarian about handwriting. Hers sucks too. She sent me to the tutoring center. Their's also sucks.
I guess the days of neat handwriting are over.

Yeah, just type it up and print it out in a neat font :)
I've struggled with my handwriting too. I'm always SO jealous of the graceful, flowing script many girls manage to do.
PART of my problem is purely psychological: I sorta don't feel I "deserve" to take my time and make beautiful script. Much the same way I have trouble wearing super-feminine clothing still.
On the other hand, my printing is actually very artistic and pretty - when I relax and try. People always commented on it in school, and drafted me to be the person to write out scripts for plays and the like (there was no internet, we did things by... gulp.. hand). I actually enjoy it, and I'll just sit and write for the sheer pleasure of doing it. There's something about printing out separate characters, and how to best place them next to one another, that appeals to me more than letters flowing one into the next.
Huh. I bet there's some major clue to my universe in there somewhere, lol...

Another interesting thing (although, I should not that it is for FUN, and isn't 100% accurate!) Is the Gender Genie.
http://bookblog.net/gender/genie.php
It's supposed to be able to tell if someone is female or male through analyzing their writing. I think that you need something that is at least 500 words long. And again, don't depend on it to determine what gender your writing is, since it's not always going to be right on. It's still fun and interesting, although.
The results from the above post:
Words: 81
(NOTE: The genie works best on texts of more than 500 words.)
Female Score: 225
Male Score: 158
The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: female!
Hehe I copy and pasted some blog I wrote a while ago and here's what I got.
Female Score: 610
Male Score: 363
The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: female
I've thought of this topic ALOT recently. Like most everything else I try to do, I have to make a focused effort to write "girly". It's slowly coming along, I have to concentrate on making letters loopy and curvy.
