I am looking for a group to join and I have learned of the Rainbow Center in Tacoma. Has anyone had experience with these people. I hate to go anyplace unprepared. Job interviews to extra gas for vacations. I planned my Disney vacation for eight months. All it took was a couple of days of mid 80's and unbearable humidity to make it all go south. I stopped by the other day but they had not opened up for the day. Their website is rather sparse.
Hi, if you are talking about Tacoma, Washington I can't tell you about this organization, but Lambert House is a really good youth organization in Seattle with a much better website! If you are under 22-24? Just ride the bus up 594/metro10 and it's a great place!

Thanks for the info. But I am way over my 20's but perhaps someone else can use the info.
I've thought about going myself Dawn but just haven't made it. You're referring to the Gender Alliance meeting right?
I believe so. I drove by it on the way home from the therapist but it wasn't open. The web does not have much information.
I'm curious to hear what the Gender Alliance meetings are like. Anyone here gone?
Dawn, I get out in Tacoma once or twice a month. PM me if you just want to meet for lunch or coffee.
I joined their yahoo group so I'm planning to make a meeting soon to check it out. I'm in the west sound area so Tacoma is only a half hour drive. Would be fun to meet up.
Julianna, sounds like a plan. I'll PM you next time I'm going out.
Count me in. I'm just not ready to jump in heels first. A lot has to do with feeling comfortable. That's why I want to enlist in the group to get an idea of others hardships and successes. Like I tell my kids. There is no reason for us to cover the same ground. Learn from my mistakes.and make adjustments.
Sounds great Chris I'm in!
And hope you feel comfortable enough to join us Dawn, that would be awesome
