"Anti-gay presidential candidate Ted Cruz has suggested that fellow homophobe, Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, would make a good UN Ambassador.
Speaking at a campaign rally in South Carolina, Cruz said he wanted to do a "thought experiment"."
"Idiocracy" was filmed to be satire but as it turns out it was actually prophecy. Only it has happened much, much faster than expected.

Before I knew what they stood for, I would flip through the guide and make it as far as "Duck D" and then I'd get excited that "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century" was on. Then I'd process the rest of the name and be disappointed. I can't tell you how many times I've done that.
I've only gotten more disappointed to see their name as time goes on.
I'm waiting to hear if Judge Judy will be nominated for the Supreme Court if Trump wins.

I can't even laugh about it anymore. There does seem to be a kind of mythology in the US about "country wisdom," as seen in older TC shows like "The Beverly Hillbillies," "Green Acres," "McCloud," where seemingly uneducated folks from rural areas always get the better of "educated city folk." I think there was a bit of this in George W. Bush's campaigns, and now it's just getting more and more magnified in this one. This kind of rhetoric plays well in so-called "red states," not so well in the bigger metropolitan regions in "blue states" like California and New York. While I've heard of the intense polarization we're experiencing here as being described as healthy debate, it sure doesn't feel healthy. It feels more like two countries pulling apart.

I'm personally glad that Cruz dropped out of the race. I honestly don't think that anything good can possibly come out of him.

So true. Cant say I'm a fan of anyone running but I would have taken anyone but Cruz. I am so relived that he dropped out.
