Title: Hello from a confused non binary person :)
Post by: Hunchdebunch on February 26, 2016, 10:38:33 AM
Hi, I'm Kolby (or at least, that's the name I'm trying out right now), I'm 23, and recently (within the past year or so) I came to the realisation that I'm trans. I'm still coming to terms with it, and still questioning my gender a lot. I am most likely non binary (of some description, I realise that's an umbrella term), but sometimes feel quite 'boyish' and am unsure how I feel about this. Questioning is pretty hard and causes me a lot of stress, but hopefully I'll get things figured out eventually.

Other stuff about me: I like art, and fantasy, stories, and videogames. I enjoy making comic books too :)

Welcome Kolby!  I'm in a similar boat, within the past year realizing I'm transgender, non-binary but identifying more female than male most of the time and sometimes very female; though I express masculine and have no particular plans to transition to anything else, at least not soon, still need to sort a lot out.  I understand the stress but mostly I feel much more comfortable recognizing that I'm a girl or at least partially a girl and partially a guy, or something like that, I don't really know - even if for now I have to express masculine for most work and social occasions.

Hugs Kolby and again, welcome!

Welcome to Susan's Place. As you have discovered, non binary can be confusing at times. I don't have enough information to give you much help but I have a link to  our Wiki  (https://www.susans.org/wiki/Transgender) that may give you some terms and definitions to explore. The fluid/bigender seems to be pretty common and if you think that might be you, there is a fluid thread in the non binary area. If there is anything I can help you with, let me know.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hey Kolby!  I've identified as trans a year, and while I feel comfortable with my gender, I'm still confused by it.  I'm happy when I can express myself, so that's what's important.
