Title: I have to stop transition due to health reasons
Post by: danielle28 on February 29, 2016, 07:51:52 AM
Ladies,  has anyone else had to stop transition due to declining health?  in my case the stress and anxiety of transition caused me to gain some weight resulted in several medical issues now. I have to stop my transition and lose the weight  hopefully that will take care of the medical issues and allow me to restart. I finally found a partner who fully accepted me. she  is bi  for she loves and accepts me for Who I am.  a lot of my stress and anxiety was from not being able to pass, my divorce, financial  including homelessness for 4 months,  and my kids. food became my comfort and I put on over sixty pounds . all while maintaining a good job. like many others now in my mid forties transition is a struggle.   Thank you ladies for all the sharing you do and the support you provide

It's okay, some of us have obstacles too.  I personally have a rare mutation of smooth ER in my muscle cells, which means all surgeries for me are going to be more complicated and risky.

I'm sorry to hear that the worst scenario has occured for you. But hey, maybe its not too bad.  You're loved, and it's possible to fix some of your problems with patience :)

PS I think there's a board for weight loss on here

I've had to stop for a while due to a severe motorcycle accident. It was over a year before I started again. I totally understand the anxiety... I hope that with the support of your partner, your health will come back and you're able to continue on your journey. The good news is that, with me anyway, you'll quickly pick up where you left off in transition.

Hugs, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Sorry to butt back in but roadblocks are rough...  I feel so much for that.  I haven't been able to transition hardly at all due to my position with my parents.  I may not be physically handicapped right now, but it's still a roadblock.  They suck.  But you know, you should try to teach yourself to think from a new perspective until your health issues are resolved, if that makes sense.  Go do something you love.  Go do something during this recovery to make it not so gloomy :)

I had to stop myself for medical reasons. I previously had been on hrt for 5 years before I stopped and I felt devastated
was off of them for 3 years before I just recently got back on them. I certainly feel for you and understand the pain and disappointment you are going thru. Hang in there and just take of you and keep your goal in mind.

It's probably easier to lose weight off them. I'm having a hell of a time losing weight , I just want to eat.

Ladies,  Thank  you for the kind words of support. I will be ok and use this chance to get better with  my  hair and makeup while I recover. Hugs Danielle
