"I've been a fan of Supernatural since the show first started airing, and eleven years is a long time to be watching something. Luckily Supernatural has been mostly entertaining and engaging throughout, despite some problems with the format. Their inability to stop killing off side characters (especially strong female side characters) has become a frustrating joke, and Dean can come across as a womaniser at times, but these are small gripes in a largely positive show."
It's a shame that sensitivity and respect seems to have fallen out of vogue.
I'm not sure Supernatural's the first place I'd look for progressive writing
Well, it was a Demon from Hell doing the talking. Are Demons supposed to be PC and polite?

Completely new word to me.
My thought is that it is not a "Demon from hell" talking here it is a room full of writers who have built careers on the spoken word and definitely know it's power. Every word of dialogue in a popular show like this is scrutinised and has to be justified so I would like to know why they felt "every demon for themself" was not adequate and they shoehorned in this clunky, unwieldy line that seems to have no context to it.
Personally I'm offended by bad writing and of smart people trying to using language to show off how clever they are.
