So I have been on T for 4 months and 1 week today. About a week to a week and a half ago I noticed a funny taste in my mouth whenever I eat. It doesn't matter what I am eating, I will get this weird taste in my mouth. I guess it's sort of metallic, in that it's a bad taste you don't get from any kind of food--I have never been real certain what people mean when they say metallic because I don't regularly suck on metal, LOL, but I think this would fit. It is hard for me to guess what is causing it since I changed SO many things at the same time I started T. I completely changed my diet, I started working out, I stopped taking anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds, I changed my sleep patterns, etc. All of this has been for the best, but it is hard for me to tell sometimes what changes are from T and what are just coincidence. I was wondering if anyone has heard of T causing a metallic taste in the mouth? I am not super worried about it--I don't taste it all the time, just when eating, and it was only a week ago that it started so it is probably totally unrelated to the T; however, I am going in for a checkup on Thursday to have my blood levels run and get my T prescription refilled, and I was wondering if I should mention it as a concern. Anyone else experience this?
I have heard of people experiencing this, especially right after they inject. I personally haven't though.
Might be worth a mention to your doctor. The only time I've had metallic tastes in my mouth is whenever I was prescribed antibiotics.

One time I was give a massive injection of cortisone which is in the steroid family and it tasted like I had a mouth full of aluminum shavings. It didn't last long but it returned every time I used the cortisone eye drops that were part of the treatment.
