'WASHINGTON - Rep. Barney Frank, a leading gay rights champion in Congress, urged fellow gay rights advocates today not to let their dispute over protecting transgender workers doom a job discrimination ban that could mark a major civil rights advance for gays in the workplace'
See that? He is doing exactly what I said here:

No matter what it will be the T community's fault, even though there is no way Bush would sign this into law.
If he doesn't want a rift, why doesn't he get on the majority side with the rest of us? Who died and left him in charge? First off he can only claim to represent the people of his district. I'm not in his district, and I wouldn't vote for him if I was. He has no right to appoint himself the spokesperson of all gaydom.
I must admit, I'm beginning to change my tune about all this. The more I read about Frank, the more I'm convinced he's a bigot and anti-TS. I originally bought into his reasons for leaving out the TS stuff, but... not any more. He just seems to be out protect his perfect little elitist vision of the gay community or whatever.

In fact, I keep confusing the two... when I wrote my post, I was actually thinking of the Aravosis article. But they seem to be... errr... in bed together, lol.
