Title: Fitness and my Body? (FtM)
Post by: Jay.CM on March 08, 2016, 11:30:53 PM
Well let me start by say this I am fairly young (turned 16 in December) but I know a lot about stuff and being young I dont know a lot of stuff. Also I am new to posting forms as I try to get my problems sloved through others which probably isnt good: To my many questions first is:

How do you I get the body I desired? I know exercise and diet is key but I am not sure were to start. I am one year on T and so my body is changing around the same pace as other teen boys my age. I do have a feminine body and being stealth Ive been questioned mostly because of my friend group (mostly female not helping haha) my problem areas are my hips, thighs, and worst of all stomach. My surgeon told me i should lose some weight to get best results for top surgery. I know there isnt such thing as target fat loss but I just want to know what is the best thing to lose fat on the bottom half. being 5'2 and 160 pounds what can I do, I also want to know about diet being young I know I should be careful but what are some things I should change about my diet? Should I ask my endo about this considering I have a good relationship with her?

Secondly, As I am 5'2 which is incredibly short, I want to know is there a possible chance I will grow taller? I really hope so, my sisters 11 and 13 are catching up, the 13 year old is practically taller than me (5'2.5!!) and the 11 year old is expected to reach 5ft by the time shes 12. If there isnt a chance then how do I cope with this?

My deepest apologies if this is too many topics in one but I still am learning so any help is appreciative.

Jay,

I'm 40 years older than you and MtF so things are different.  But to get the body I desired (down from 170 to 145) I did three things:  (NO Hormones involved this was before I started transition)
1) cut out all carbs for 2 weeks then slowly added them back in.  (I started with changing breakfast from two pop-tarts to two eggs and two slices of bacon.)
2) Cut out snacking.  When I had the snacking crave, I cracked open a flavored sparkling water.
3) Increased exercise.  In my case I hate the gym, totally boring for me, 20 minutes and I'm out of there.  But even 20 minutes 2 times per week helped.  But what I did that increased my metabolism was to start biking.  I bike about 3000 miles per year.  I try to do about 100 miles per week when there is no snow (20,20,60) on occasion I'll do over 200 in a week.

Over 9 months I went from 170 to 145 and have kept it there for 5 years.  I eat what I want, exercise when I want, but keep up on the biking.  Don't be in a rush to gain muscle or lose weight.  It's unhealthy and you probably will yo-yo back to where you don't want to be.

Set a goal - By May 1 - down 4 pounds.  Very doable and when you are down 6 by then you will feel more motivated.  By July 1 - down 9 pounds. Etc.  Set goals you can obtain, if you exceed them - great, if not, it's not a cause for concern, but you have set a goal for the end.

Basically what I'm saying is watch what you eat.  Stop eating processed foods.  Stick to the outside of the grocery store and away from the center isles.  And find an aerobic exercise, biking, running, swimming even walking.

- sorry I don't know about the height issue.

I am MTF but I have quite a lot of experience in the body shaping department. The fact that you are already on testosterone is going to be a big plus here, this is actually why I am working to get my girlish figure prior to estrogen, on testosterone you can add muscle and burn fat(for FTM) or burn muscle and add fat (for MTF) at a rate much faster then E.

It just depends on your diet and type of exercise that determines which direction your body will go on T. I do not agree with the previous poster, that much cardio is only going to enhance your already girlish figure, yes it will burn lots of fat but it will also burn muscle and you will quickly find your shape looking like a fit female.

I personally am stripping off my 245lbs muscular body to form a fit girlish figure have cut my calorie intake down to about 1250 a day with little to no proteins, basically eating veggies, fruits, grains.... for energy I take Liquid B12, B1, L-Tyrosine, Powder C, Herba Mate Tea, Iron, Liquid D3, Powdered Magnesium, Potassium... I also use a carb blocker "White Kidney Bean"... Wearing a Ann Cherry female waste cincher for 10 hours a day and do an elliptical for 1 hour every day, no days off and working out on and empty stomach each morning plus not eating for 3 hours after. I have dropped 1 to 2 pounds per day using this method and when weight loss stalls I eat normal for a day and it tricks the body into more weight loss.

This burns a lot of muscle due to low calorie, low protein, lots of cardio... the body basically goes into starvation mode and as such eats muscle before fat. If I was to increase the calories to 2000 a day it would burn more fat then muscle but weight loss would be a slower process.

What you want to do on the other hand is lots of resistance exercise, in other words only do 30 minutes running or elliptical 5 days a week then lift weights, it doesn't even have to be gym weights. Next you want and I know this sounds crazy, but to eat a lot more calories then you normally would as long as you keep up the exercise routine 5 days a week (two days off for muscle recovery).

The trick here though is that it is healthy calories, a diet of steak, chicken, eggs, avacados, veggies, fruits, oatmeal, cream of wheat, weigh protein ( muscle building shake immediately after working out and a small portion of eggs before.) Do 1 hour of weight training each session (but do not work till muscle failure, it will actually decrease muscle size).

With this you will build both muscle and burn fat and quickly get more of a male figure.

P.S. you can also wear a Mens Ann Cherry waste cincher and drink Herba Mate Tea, it will burn fat and give you energy to get through the exercise

If you want to lose weight you should lower your calorie intake and keep track of how many calories you eat a day. If you want to lose weight really fast you could lower your carb and calorie intake. The latter is much more difficult.

Losing weight will probably help with your overall figure to make it more masculine and to help the T along in redistributing your fat into a more masculine pattern.

I found that lowering carb intake wasn't that hard as long as you keep the protein intake high.  Protein helps satiate hunger.

Sorry for the late responses. Thanks to everyone who has contributed I defiantly take your advice especially on the crab thing, my family loves carbs and I just cant help but submit to it but Ive been trying to cut it and so far its been okay, I just submit every so often which isnt good but if I keep in control then I can pull it off.
