Today, in the privacy of my own home, I wore my. very. first. bikini. That is, one that fits and is my very own, not borrowed when no one was looking. I don't look that great in it....yet, but the sheer joy of being able to wear it put a smile on my face the whole time.
I know for many of you this is old stuff - especially those of you that transitioned years ago, but it made me happy and I wanted to share the joy!
Congrats! There really isn't anything like having your own stuff.
You're braver than I, swimwear is somewhere I haven't dared to venture yet and I doubt I'll ever have the guts to try a bikini!
Oh yes, wardrobe building is so much fun. I still have the first dress I ever wore in public over three years ago. Now finding space to hang everything up and keep from tripping on shoes really is a first world problem ;)
I'm experiencing the joy of this for myself as well. I picked up a pair of nike dri fit yoga pants this weekend while thrifting. I'm slowly adding over time. I'm keeping it hush hush, so I have to keep my clothes hidden. Really prevents me from going wild with my clothes assortment.
aahhhhh the hiding days.... sometimes I miss it, and I had more money then cuz I wasnt addicted to buying so many clothes
I need to stop buying, but am considering a thrift store run today.... :-\
just wait until You get to the stage when You have far more clothes then You did before Transition and You are competing for Wardrobe room with a Clothes hoarding clothes horse of a Wife. She has three times the wardroom and drawer space than I have . All our wardrobes and drawers are stuffed to the brim but We both love shopping LOL . I t6hink she should have a clean out of old stuff but she retaliates with All my stuff is new so I don't need anything more (what a silly idea I don't think LOL) . I have already cleared out all my Male stuff .
