Title: Have told my employer, what is the best way to tell customer/co-workers.
Post by: Jamie lynn on March 10, 2016, 07:02:04 AM
For a little bit of background I am a truck driver, have been for almost 10 years, and have been with the co that I am now for 7. I have told HR about being trans, and my dispacher. Now my problem is this, in a couple of weeks when the weather starts warming up, I will for lack of a better word be outed, unless I dress very uncomfortable. It's not that I have a problem with it I just would rather it be on my terms, and come from my mouth rather than speculation. I go to several customers on a weekly basis and have for several years, before I admitted being trans to myself and started transitioning. So does anyone have a bit of advice? Thx.

"By the way, you may notice I'm dressing a bit differently. That's because I'm transgender and I'm transitioning to live as a woman. Marvelous weather we're having isn't it?"
