The kind of people who read those sleezy news papers don't want to feel intimidated by transwomen, and the publishers are scared of someone who can afford expensive lawsuits?
Rothblatt doesn't keep a low profile. We've had stories here about her before. I agree, I'd like to see a whole lot more about her and less about transgender reality TV stars, but I agree with AnonyMs: The idea of a brilliant accomplished trans woman might be intimidating to some.
