My oh my, what a walk home!
I went to the AA dance at the Holiday Inn on Van Ness, had a great time but I was covered in perspiration from dancing all night and hungry so I decided to hit Tommy's Joynt for some Corned Beef and walk home. I finished my meal just as the bars let out. I walked down Geary to Larkin, three different guys tried to pick me up before I even made it to Larkin. I thought, this is weird, one guy asked me what I could do, like what is my specialty, then I turned down Larkin and a guy pulled past two prostitutes who were standing waiting for John's, I told the guy he had the wrong impression, both of the prostitutes saw the guy trying to pick me up and were really pissed. Then I walked further down and ran into their pimps who scolded me for trying to work alone.
Now I knew I dressed and looked sexy but I didn't think pimps would clock me as a whore. Quite frankly, I am flattered to know that I could turn tricks at 59 and even beat out some of the competition for johns.

Melissa...I had no idea you were 59.....
Neither does anyone else until I tell them. LOL I used to lie about it cause I can pass for 40-something but when I got sober, I stopped lying.
Hi, Melissa,
I've been to the same dance when I lived in Virginia.

Must be different in your neck of the woods. Around me the hookers wear a blank expression and sweat pants (easy down, easy up).

The difference might be more competition, one would never get any johns wearing sweat pants here. Isn't a mini skirt just as easy?
Do not know since I do not hook.. heck I do not even have sex.
One doesn't have to be in the trade to notice what is going on in the streets. On a slow night, one will see dozens of prostitutes waiting for johns in the redlight district here. Or you could watch San Francisco Blue if you have Discovery Times Channel on your cable. It is like Cops but focuses on San Francisco.
Haha, go girl!
And um...
What's "John's?"
Cable is for those who live next to them big cities. LOL. The satellite became too expensive so I dumped the it and just watch a few things on broadcast that the telly will pick up.
