Title: Binder for DD chest? Is this binder too big?
Post by: kk on March 13, 2016, 11:43:13 PM
Hey guys.  Recently ordered this binder from GC2b, size 2x:
http://www.gc2b.co/#!store/c205c/products/white-half-binder

It doesn't fit right -- I can't tell if it's the style or the size, so I'm going to try ordering a different one to compare.  What's wrong about it, I guess, is it doesn't flatten me by much, and the "lip" where the binder ends hangs out instead of sticking tight to me -- does this mean its too big?  Tried taking some pics with my phone:

I've heard good things about this one from underworks:
http://www.f2mbinders.com/product/productinfo/ultimate-chest-binder-tank/360?cid=61

But I've heard people say GC2b is better overall, vs underworks.  But the people I've seen saying this are also people with B and C chests.

Any thoughts are useful.

That looks pretty much like how mine fits. I'm in the F-G range and wear a 2X. The half tanks always gape for me, but the full tank style works much better and sits flat.

The key for me is that if I can pull the binder on over my head without trouble, it fits. If it's a struggle at all, I'm going to regret it afterward. Learned that the hard way after outgrowing my old one.

wow you look good in them. they're pretty flat to me. keep in mind that bigger guys have bigger muscles and more fat which mean their man boobs are bigger too.
i think it's the style that makes it look like it's flopping on the end and not fitting you right. if you can breathe in it though, it's better be the right size. lol. i mean you'll have to walk in it, turn around in it. you have to feel some certain comfort wearing it.
i ordered the long tank one that looks like it's an undershirt if you wear a shirt on top of it. it just looks more natural to me. plus, you can tuck it in, you don't have to worry about the end sticking out or flapping anywhere.
i ordered from gc2b too and it was exactly my size. though i couldn't break in by all means. i had to exchange for a bigger one. after receiving it, i had to throw it in the washing machine just to break the material a little bit. it's good now.

Alright, thanks.  I'll order the longer one in the same size and see how that works.

I know I was a bit delusional, expecting to but on a binder and look the same as a guy with a small chest, but hey, I was excited.

Good tip about washing it in the washing machine to break it down.

yeah. after that first time in the washing machine and dryer, i hand wash it ever since.
basically just throw it in a bowl with detergent and let it sit for about 4 hours or longer if you prefer. my binder is black and i have white stains from deodorant so i use a bit of vinegar to smear the spots. then do it one more time with detergent and good to go.

It's hard to tell with pictures that are close up. I use the 997 from underworks (the same one in the link) and think it works better than the gc2b. It's smoother from top to bottom and won't really be noticeable under a shirt. To me, the GC2B is visible under a shirt.

Note: I ordered an XL with GC2B but thought I measured to be a large. The XL was too small so I'm either an XXL or 3XL. In underworks for the 997 I'm either a medium or large.

I had this problem with my underworks binder. I think it was an XL or L, not sure, but I think my current binder is medium. Sometimes you need a smaller size or the longer one if you get the gap.

You could always hem the bottom if it's really bothering you.

This happens with my short binder from them, but not the long one in the same size. I think it could just be the style. My long binder definitely works better for tighter shirts, as it's nice and flat instead of gaping like that. It isn't the size because I nearly got stuck in the stupid thing when I first got it, it's definitely the right size for me.
