Title: What deed can't you forgive?
Post by: Nero on October 14, 2007, 06:45:07 PM
Is there any deed you can't forgive?

For me, the ultimate evil is felinicide. I can never forgive anyone who purposefully harmed or killed a cat (well, really any animal, but something about someone harming a cat enrages me).  Even a child.

Is there anything you can never forgive?

I'd like to believe I can forgive anything.  But I won't know unless called upon to do so.  I hope the opportunity never occurs for me to find out.

I see how it is.

J/K, I know that was a typo (I hope!)

I could never forgive molestation/rape, or any purposeful harm to children.

Everything is circumstantial so it's hard for me to answer something I blanket couldn't forgive --

I think Rape... especially that of a child.

Murder can be forgiven in self defense situations, cheating can be forgiven even if the relationship ends...  Nero you really had me on the cruelty to animals thing too .. It -boils my blood- to see or hear about it.. but sometimes when an animal attacks you have to defend yourself (though my guess that isn't what you meant)..

But I think the one thing I couldn't foresee a legit reason for doing is rape...  Though I suppose you could go the insanity route... but man I'd have a hard time believing it...

weird things happen when I answer these kinds of questions at 4am .. excuse the ramblingness of this post ;)

???  That's true, there are way too many..but whose fault is that? People's...why? because they don't spay and neuter the cutie pies.  I hate people who have pets and don't take care of them properly!  >:(  Having said that, I will answer Nero's question.  I can't forgive:

Animal cruelty (sick people that use animals for experiments or to satisfy their perverted desires  >:( >:( >:(), incest, and rape.

Isn't it cruel to cut off a cat's scrotum, particularly before puberty sets in so that he'll never have the biological desires/capability that he was meant to have?

Unless it's a transexual cat.

No it isn't if the reasons are to prevent the cutie pies from multiplicating (considering that "there are way too many cats in the world"  ::)).  I find it more cruel to have pets and have them abandoned, flea-ridden, hungry, sick, and reproducing on top of everything else ....  :P

Eh, they do not cut off the cat's scrotum. They cut it open and pull the testicles out.

I don't think it's cruel to do this before puberty so he'll never have the biological desire to spray your couch with urine. Inappropriate urination is the #1 reason cats are relinquished to shelters, and most cats die there.

I certainly think it's just fine for a cat to not be able to reproduce. One unaltered female cat will drop ten or twelve kittens every year. If every homeless pet in the country was adopted and they were all distributed evenly, every American household would have twenty-two cats and eight dogs. This is not funny.

Plus, really, if you watch them you'll probably agree with me that female dogs and cats are not having any fun at all when they have a heat. And male dogs seem pretty stressed out by their sex-drives, too. Sex is fun for most humans, but for most animals it seems to be a burden.

Speaking of trans cats, we found another appearantly-female intersexed cats at my work. The uterus of a cat looks a lot like a pair of pants. The doc goes to spay her and finds that the pants have only one leg, and up where the second ovary ought to be there's a thing that's not quite an ovary and not quite a testicle, and small for either. I was going to collect it, had another one much like it in a jar of formalin, but somebody threw it away. If I figure out who threw away my cat-parts, should I forgive them?

I hesitate to say never forgive but they would definately be in my angry face for life list.

Like you I HATE when someone harms or killed a cat on purpose.  I feel this way with other animals but like you  a cat gets to me the most.  I grew up with cats and they can be some of the nicest creatures on Earth.  I think it's sick and cruel for a person to harm animals like cats and dogs and most other animals in between.  A person like that will never be invited to my Sailor Moon party thats for sure.

Also I'm not fond of those who steal or vandalize or people who rape (triple the anger of the victim caught a life threatening STD like AIDS).

I've learned I need to forgive anyone for anything they may have done. Not forgiving someone mainly hurts the person who refuses to forgive as they are the one who carries the hatred/grudge inside them..
