Title: T and Lip Color
Post by: Guile on March 21, 2016, 02:49:44 PM
This might be a bit of an odd question, but to those of you who have been on T for a while, did your lip color change much? I've always had very bright pink lips and I had heard that testosterone can have a paling effect to them, which would be great. Do you find this to be true and, if so, how quickly and how drastically did the color of your lips change?

No change whatsoever. On T for 16 months.

Dang... Oh well. I guess it's just something I'll have to deal with. Thanks.

Nope. On T for about 3.5 years and I have rose pink lips. My husband is a bio guy and he has rose lips.  Maybe some guys have a change but I didn't.

It depends on the light and how cold i am and stuff, but i have pretty pink lips too. however i've noticed that a lot of cis men do too, depending on their general colouring

This is a great question!  I don't like how pink my lips are, but I'd never thought to wonder whether it's affected by hormones!  On the bright side, in general full, rosy lips are considered an attractive trait in men as well as women.  (How many romances and gay erotica novels are filled with descriptions of lucious lips on men?). I think it is one of the traits that makes some people say things like "why are trans men all so attractive?"  Well, we're not, but many of us possess traits that are technically feminine but are also seen as attractive (and very rare) in men such as full lips and large eyes and a tendency toward the much sought after in gay circles "bubble butt."  Sure, we would rather fit in to a more normal male mold, but if you can't fix it then embrace it, right?  I just like to think of myself as having super attractive lips, unlike many unfortunate guys.  ;)

I rather see a guy with rosy pink lips than nasty dull chapped ones.
