Title: Dazed/zoning out?
Post by: Midnightstar on March 24, 2016, 01:44:25 AM
I keep zoning out and i'm at the point where it's scaring me because i'll be thinking about traumatic events and end up saying something out loud as if yelling at another person. Or i'll zone out and end up for example going to get a blue glass and instead end up with the green one and dazed on how that happened.
I know zoning out is common but something tells me this isn't right anymore iv'e always been one to disconnect myself when upset but it's never done this before.
I know this isn't really trans related but idk where to ask this....and my next doctors appointment is still a little away.

I'd suggest getting your doctor's appointment bumped forward ASAP. Are you on any other meds, like anti depressants, sleeping pills, anti anxiety meds, etc? You might be having an adverse reaction and should talk to a medical professional about it pronto.

We know our own bodies better than anyone else and if this doesn't feel right to you than I'm sure it isn't. I agree with Grace and that you should get seen by your doctor and therapist as soon as possible. It could be a reaction to the medications your on or even something else, but regardless you need to be seen so they can help you figure this out. Hugs

Go and see your medical professional.

If you are zoning out do be very cautious about driving, using machinery and even simple tasks like checking you have turned the cooker and stove off.

This can be very minor and easy to treat but can have awful consequences, do double check what you are doing and see your Doctor immediately.

You should definitely see if you can move up your doctor's appointment. Has anything in your life changed over the last few days/weeks since this has been occurring? New diet? New meds? Anything that could be influencing your capacity to focus?
