I, myself, tend to dress on the more feminine side. Lately, it's been a bunch of athletic shirts, even though I'm on the fat side, with a vest and leggings. It's not very manly, but it's comfortable. I still do makeup and wear flower crowns and big scarves too.
I think it's because, even dressing masculine, I don't pass. So I just dress how I feel comfortable. I don't shave my legs anymore so I had to say bye-bye to dresses and skirts (and partially because I'm always in a binder). I was just curious as to what other FTMs wear on the daily! ???
My fashion sense is just very masculine, I'd never wear anything that typically would be for 'girls' not because I'm scared of looking like one it's just not for me. I only wear jeans/shorts with a shirt/jumper etc and some sneakers. Never was a fan of shaving my legs or armpit hair either. Always hated skirts/dresses and tight-fitting shirts. Usually my shirts are a bit loose but not too baggy, so that it doesn't hug my waist/hips but doesn't make me look like a child in adults clothes either. Jeans are skinny but not skin-tight skinny, again so the hips aren't pointed out too much, and my shorts are just regular chino shorts.
I typically wear men's jeans and t-shirts or polo shirts. Unfortunately t-shirts tend to give away your chest if your binder doesn't compress you into a perfectly natural shape (like mine, darn C's) but the collar of the polos and the way the arms fit help to imply a more "male" look. If my hips weren't so wide I'd go a bit dressier, with proper trousers, button-up shirts and a waistcoat from time to time. As it stands, unfortunately, men's trousers just don't look good on me, so I grudgingly avoid them for the time being.
I'm not FTM but a non-binary guy who happens to be female. I am also a total slob. I dress for comfort and only for comfort. When it's cold, I wear fleece-lined cargo pants and waffle sweaters with hoodies. When its warm, I wear non-lined cargo pants or jeans and t-shirts with hoodies. In the summer, cargo shorts and t-shirts. I wear wool socks unless its sandal weather. Merrell mocs and Adidas sneakers are my go to unless it is really wet or snowy. I wear mens clothes 95% of the time. Most of them are from thrift stores. I don't look like a man because of my boobs but I can pass if they are covered by really baggy hoodies. My husband and I are the same height and tend to pass clothes back and forth... neither of us have style.

my style changed a lot when i finally was on t and had top surgery because i was more comfortable and lost weight. before it was baggy clothes all the time. sweats, tshirts and especially sweaters even in the summer time. now though? it's jeans, polos, hoodies, pull over sweaters, and yes track pants and tshirts on my lazy days but definitely more fitting. i care a lot more now about how i look though.
I wear nothing but men's clothing. I just don't feel comfortable even going to the women's section for myself. I see the clothes there and just can't even imagine myself in them.
My style just depends on the day/event. I spend most of my time at work so I wear business casual clothes jeans (because for some reason I get away with it lol) or slacks mostly now, a button up and sometimes a sweater. If I just have class that day then it's probably sweats / whatever I wore to bed because I'm lazy af!. If I'm going out then it's your typical f boi style (I'm not a f boi tho! I swear)
Oh and if I can wear a hat I'm wearing my snap back!

I enjoyed reading about everyone's style thus far! I wish I was skinnier/taller so I could raid everyone's closet. You all have much more style than me I assume!
I second being lazy in that I basically wear sweatpants and a t shirt unless I'm going somewhere. If I am going somewhere and it's not work, then I'll wear jeans or black pants with a long sleeve Henley shirt or a plain t shirt and hoodie. Maybe a hat or beanie. I'm pretty simple and boring. I do have a few shirts that say stuff on them (but I need new shirts so bad lol) I care more about how things fit on me now too. It feels so great when you can fit into a pair of jeans without feeling any unwanted dysphoria about it.
I'm usually a hoodie and jeans sort of guy, sometimes you might catch me in a button up shirt. I know wearing hoodies and jeans most likely makes me look ten years younger than I am (I'm turning 26 this year) but... ah well, I don't give a damn. Comfyness is a big factor for me when choosing clothes so that's what I wear.

i'm only 5'2" and i'm not "skinny" but i'm not fat either. you would just need to find clothes that fit your body shape. my only issue is that i have short legs so jeans tend to drag and i have to pin roll them up.
I am a pretty stylish person (which makes sense considering I am a fashion stylist as an occupation), though since transitioning I mostly dress for comfort. It is generally fairly stylish comfort, though.
I don't wear hyper feminine items, but I enjoy funky patterns and daring styles that your average guy might not always be brave enough to try. I only wear slim fit or skinny fit clothes. I wear t-shirts of some kind almost every day and though they are always masculine, they are also always tight (I can do this as I am barely a B cup and my binder flattens me totally). I also wear slim fit jeans and trousers. I love funky, fun athletic wear, too, in bright colors with fun sayings, and I adore sleeveless muscle style shirts and hoodies. Here is a Pinterest board I made once highlighting "My Style".
https://www.pinterest.com/mitchjoshwilson/my-style/
I've gone a bit more masc than maybe I would have if i was cis to make sure I don't get read as female (from clothing anyway... i'm still short and my binder game is not strong)
The thing is i was never very feminine, but when i came out everyone said i was! I used to wear leggings with holes in them under big shirts or loose dresses, and i would wear the same thing for weeks because i hated choosing what to wear. everything was black
I still wear black now tbh i can't seem to break the habit. i know that jersey fabrics and tshirts (knits rather than weaves) don't conceal my chest very wel,l but i don't really like collared shirts, particularly checked or plaid ones which seems to be the only option these days unless you want a really smart looking one, which doesn't really go with paint stained jeans? lol
i have one hoodie that has a print on it that's kind of rigid and makes me look flatter so i pretty much wear that constantly. i always think it's pointless to buy interesting tshirts because the constant hoodie wearing means no one sees them anyway

Lol I'm 5'2 and on the heavier side. I wear a 30'32 in pants and a large in shirts so that they don't hug.
Now I get most of my stuff off of Amazon. You will find your style there for sure! It's so convenient too especially if you have Prime!
Your style sounds nice I love flower crowns and anything floral! Do you like women's clothes or men's? Or even both I suppose!

Work: all stars, guys jeans, button down, tie, sweater/jacket
Home:all starts, guys jeans, t-shirt with a long sleeved cotton shirt over it
Not very imaginative, I guess, but I love it.

Both! I honestly live in leggings because pants don't fit me right. I mean I'm like almost 22 but also only 4'7" lmao so leggings work best. I usually cut the sleeves off of my shirts and wear cardigans over them. It's my own style, although I do have to admit it's not very masculine. Some days though I'll be in hoodies and snapbacks, depending on the weather.
Honestly... I'm so jealous of everyone who can get away with dressing masculine. I, however, am a mess. Here are some of my outfits over the past few months. Recent to less recent but as you can see, I don't really follow any style lmao.

Not gonna lie leggings are comfortable af! I wear them with my shorts it's part of my Asian style I have sometimes. I need more honestly they are so comfortable but not the best in summer lol.
If you aren't that masculine that's fine you don't have to be. I have a lot of male friends who someone would probably consider metrosexual. They're straight (except for my brother) but don't dress like your typical guy or act like one.
You can make what you have masculine if you want wear shorts over your leggings if you like that style it will at least give you an androgynous look. I know being short makes it hard to find clothes but Amazon has some pants that go as short as 29. I've been thinking about getting things tailored too. Have you looked at joggers? Their leggings for dudes lol
Do you like tanks? Why not just buy tanks instead of cutting your shirts up then you can recycle your shirts later on.
I'm still a little unsure if you are trying to become more masculine or not. You seem comfortable in your style but want to be more masculine

I'm gonna have to look on Amazon then! I have Prime already. As you can see I'm not skinny so being short AND fat causes a challenge. I don't do normal tanks because they show my binder through the armholes and I'm self conscious about that. Whereas if you just cut shirts, there's no cleavage showing and my binder doesn't show as much.
I'd LIKE to be more masculine but I don't think I could give up leggings unless I found a good pair of pants. But even then, I'm a fan of the punk style and like skinny jeans, even though they don't really help me pass. I can't pass so I kinda just enjoy what I do have. I also have a pair of joggers in my closet but the pockets literally went to my knees and I haven't worn them in public or even at home because I'm a baby lmao.

I'm not that skinny either so I get it but I think online shopping will definitely help. They offer more options than in store. Also with your height you may fit in juniors. Their stuff is cheaper too! And since you will be in the boys side the clothes run a little bigger than girls (my friend is the height for juniors but her booty is not. I'm not even mad though her booty nice)
Do you buy male tanks and shirts? Womens are designed to show as much skin as possible. Most of my wardrobe is from my brothers closet and I noticed that his tanks don't show my binder that much it's like a little bit near my neck that it shows. I just don't wear them with out a cardigan or a flannel because I don't like my arms. All of my friends know I wear a binder anyways since I'm a 36 D but now kinda flat (wish more but oh well). I didn't really think they noticed though until I told one of my managers that I'm getting top surgery when I get the money for it. She understood because she knows I wear a binder. My point is people most likely know you wear a binder so don't let it stop you from wearing shirts you like. It's like if a bra strap shows just readjust your shirt. I noticed that I'm really the only one over thinking about things like my binder or top surgery. My friends don't care lol. You might find that the same goes for you

Me too (not the short but binder issues -my breasts are H cup, they only flatten so much)...
My mom reminds me regularly that in my teens I only wore black because everything else was too "girly"... my colour palette has expanded... I now wear navy blue, some red and green....still boring and not stylish. I'm in my mid 30s but don't dress like a grown up... but neither do the cis men I hang out with.

You have style. That style is COLOR, and I love it.
A splattering of outfits I've worn since I started documenting my changes. I'm not the best at explaining how I dress so I thought a picture would serve better.

I'd say I dress in whatever feels and looks good to me.
So as of right now, t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, jackets, and jeans.
I'm not out yet and I still live with my parents so my wardrobe is extremely limited right now but I avoid looking too feminine as much as I possibly can. Although I'm guilty of finding many feminine articles of clothing very nice and I end up buying things that I can potentially work into a more masculine outfit. Sometimes it works and at other times it doesn't. But I try nonetheless.
Ideally, I would like to wear more rebellious outfits and have a mostly black wardrobe.
I've always been in love with the edgier fashion styles. 8)

I <not allowed>
feel you.
Squeezing DDs into a binder and trying to wear anything that looks nice is a <not allowed> fantasy. Always a few bumps here and there that make it painfully obvious that I've got a chest being squeezed to death underneath it all. I've also just given up entirely on the male pants that actually look nice because my butt and hips are leagues away from ever fitting into a pair. Oh well.

Sitting with a G cup here. And yeah, it isn't easy to compress that much tissue. The key - at least as far as I'm concerned - is to layer. But not with bulk. I get clothes that fit appropriately now and stack those. Structured fabric also helps. Things are too clingy don't work at all. For example, I wear hoodies at home, in my apartment, because they are comfortable. But they do cling to my shape, and buying baggy doesn't actually help. Then I look like I'm trying to cover something up. For work, for light outer wear, I have a very square black heavy canvas jacket that is broad across the shoulders and narrows to my hips. My shape is completely covered, altered, and I got it in an appropriate size. And I think I look good, in fact. Am I ever going to be as flat as I like, pre surgery? Not a chance. But there are ways to disguise it and feel good about yourself.
Hi -- I've been lurking on the boards for a while, working up the nerve to jump in...
I'm not out at work yet, so I'm always looking for more ways to push the limits of what I've taken to calling my "costume" without being too obvious. Mostly, it's women's jeans and button-downs with men's sweaters and vans. I throw in a blazer and slacks when I have meetings out of the office.
At home, I've been living in too many hoodies with men's jeans and t-shirts. There's also a lifelong love of button-downs over t-shirts going on. I love slim-fit button down shirts, but they don't love my chest or hips. My men's wardrobe is still very small, and the focus is still mostly on figuring out how to layer things to best hide my DDDs.

I would call your style funky and bright. It looks like you aren't afraid to wear bold colors -- more power to you for that. I think the most important thing is that you like and rock what you wear. If you take notice of what you specifically like about your favorite clothes, you might start to notice a pattern that helps you develop your style.

Does your work think your straight or gay? If it's gay it's super easy to just dress like a dude. They will just think you're butch. I'm pretty sure only one of my managers suspects anything and that's because she knows I'm getting top surgery and she has a ftm friend and we have an mtf resident.
I personally don't see a major difference in men's skinny jeans and women's normal jeans. They will still hug you but it's less accented so if you want to switch to men's pants it should be subtle also.
Men's button downs will fit your chest better especially if you have a binder. I'm a 36 D and it doesn't get extremely flat but it does the job well enough. Work clothes are kinda easy to transition in if you already wear the lady suits and stuff

Also going to chip in and back up Haeden. Have some extra input for MercenaryElf too.
As long as you find nice good fitting clothes that go along with your personal style, I'll doubt anyone will notice a change. you would be surprised at how many people will still assume you are a straight female while in all men's clothes and with masculine mannerisms.
No one said anything and I was still hit on by straight men when I switched to an all men's clothes wardrobe. This went on for years before I was able to start T.
This may have to do with the fact a lot of straight women actually do shop in the men's section for comfort or style.
No one is going to notice unless you change your personal look drastically overnight. For example, dressing supper preppy then turning around and suddenly wearing a more gangster look.
Even if someone pegged you as gay, most people are too polite to say anything.
Thanks, Haeden and WanderingFace, for the input.

That's probably what makes me a little paranoid. In the last year or so before I finally came out to myself, I overcompensated and dressed uncharacteristically (and uncomfortably) very feminine, so I find myself fielding comments about how I haven't been wearing all of my "cute little tops and shoes" for a while. Luckily, I've been working there for a few years and have established myself as having more masculine mannerisms and preferences, so after a while, it'll probably be easier to pass the femme thing off as the brief phase that it was for me.

My first binders came in last week, and I still can't believe how much nicer my evening/weekend clothes look when I'm wearing one. I'll have to compare how the skinny jeans look vs. my typical work jeans -- it would be nice to wear men's pants to work.
Honestly pants are so easy to pass in. I didn't think it would be at first either but I remember I was talking to someone I think before I came out as gay (not sure when it was. I don't think it matters tho) and we were talking about how it's so annoying how girl pants have either small pockets or fake pockets and the rage it brought us. I had told her that's why I loved the jeans I was wearing because they were guy jeans and had deep pockets. She was shocked that they were men's pants and was jealous that the pockets were so deep too lol. After that I switched completely to men's pants and never looked back

To be honest I wish I had your confidence, because I've been so dysphoric that I've started living in pants. But usually I wear all kinds of skirts, dresses, pants and heavy make up, just that I've been very dysphoric and I got my stp so I've been dressing up a bit more boring these days. But that will pass and I will have make up on my face again.
Typically I wear jeans, cargo pants, shirts and tees on most days because most days I'm at work in my studio and clothes get wrecked when playing around with clay, plaster, paint, etc.
I'm generally dressing functional/comfort as I work pretty much constantly and spontaneously.
Hey guys...
I'm not seen too much during my work days. But I checked on this and I just wanted to say that you all look fabulous. Honestly like, it sucks because yesterday I got misgendered first thing (per usual) and I had to wear a bra because I'm not happy with the way my binders fit and it wasn't... too bad?
I mean I still wish to pass but I don't so these are the next best things... being sort of okay with yourself.
I'm still jealous of you all and I'd give anything to be any one of you. Keep keepin on.

Those little pockets in girl pants bring me so much rage. Especially if I go out for lunch at work and automatically go to stick my wallet into my back pocket instead of back into my messenger bag.

But that will pass and I will have make up on my face again.
I have a certain respect for people who can pull off the heavy makeup. One of my retail jobs involved nine months at one of the cosmetic stores in the mall, where at least seven visible makeup items was part of the "uniform". I am able to apply it, but it was absolute torture to wear it.

I'm still at a point where I don't pass either, am pre-T and want T, and still find myself in a bra more often than a binder. I try to remind myself that although I'm not at the point where I'd like to be yet, I'm working on it, and am getting better with it over time.
Also, although I hate selfies, I've been taking some pictures when I get new clothes or a binder or a haircut, and then save them in a separate album. Even though the results aren't dramatic yet, I find that when I feel like I'm not making any progress, seeing even the subtle differences between the earlier and the recent pictures is encouraging.
It doesn't necessarily stop all of the jealousy I sometimes feel about guys who are farther along than I am, but it can help a bit.
The tiny pocket use to piss me off so much! I hate them like why do they exist?! No one likes them!

Totally agree!!!
I also hated the stupid little embroidery things they were putting on ALL the girls jeans here a few years back. It was impossible to find anything that didn't have a flower or a butterfly or something equally ridiculous on the butt.
You have a unique style! I have no style. Luckily I'm taller than you so I don't have as much issue finding mens pants (always get mine tailored a couple inches though) so things work out pretty well. Being on T and changing diet and exercise has also changed my body shape. My hips and butt are still too big though. I hate it lol. I also can never find a pair of track pants I like cause they're all too long and joggers make my hips look bigger! Any suggestions are welcome haha
So yeah, no style here. When it's warm I wear gym shorts and T-shirts/tanks with sneakers. When cold I wear jeans and flannels/hoodies. Kind of athletic in the summers, lumberjack in the winters haha
I usually go with jeans / khakis + polo shirt / casual button-ups (rolled up sleeves) even when I was pre-t, I'd pass 80% of the time with such outfit. The collar and little v-shaped opening gives a more masculine impression. After all, The most important is what's comfortable for yourself, and brings out our confident.

Ugh yeah I remember that too! You had to get insanely expensive jeans for them to be normal! Like I haven't had flowers on my butt since elementary I don't want them now!
And then Brittany Spears made the sweats with stuff printed on the back popular when she was with K Fed or whatever his name is

Jeans & t-shirt or sweats & t-shirt most of the time.
I dress pretty punk most of the time. But lately, I've been collecting/wearing funky blazers with black slim/straight jeans and Chucks and really digging the look. It's a bit...calmer...than what I normally prefer, but I like it.
I FTM but also consider myself gender nonconforming. I wear t-shirts and jeans on a every day basis and dress unisex mostly. I have a really cute Embroidered Chinese womens top that I really like, and stuff like that. I wear a lot of scarves. I were a suit in formal environments.
My style is very...generic. Mostly because I don't have a very large wardrobe and I'm hesitant to add to it because I'm losing weight steadily.
At work I wear slacks with a polo/sweater combo usually, or a button down shirt. Outside of work it's jeans and hoodies. But once the weight is gone I hope to adopt a more varied style with a goal of looking snazzy in a suit.

The ability to wear a suit well is quite possibly my mental Holy Grail of being able to dress myself. But if I can obtain and wear an interview suit just reasonably well by the time I (hopefully) finally earn my degree next year, I think I'll be happy.
I must be the only trans guy that doesn't like to wear suits haha
I like the way they look, but I don't like smart shirts or ties 'cause they remind me of school uniform. Also they always seem to have enormously loose sleeves on my noodle arms lol
There for a while I did wear scarves and stuff. I'm currently swapping my wardrobe out. At the moment I either wear baggy t-shirts and nice button ups.

I lover how suits look on other men and if I have to dress up, I'd rather wear a suit than just about anything else... I just prefer not to dress up. I am a slob and always have been. Suits are for weddings and funerals in my world. Everyone knows the fashionable gay guy that straight women love to befriend... that IS NOT me!

I can't wait to get my first suit, but I'm gonna. Soon as I have my top surgery sometime in the coming year, and I'm able to move freely, I'm headed to a tailor. Just the other day I saw a guy wearing a 1920s style gabardine suit complete with hat, suspenders and a pair of truly awesome wingtips. I was sooooooo jealous.
But soon. Just gotta be patient.
I've always worn guy's clothes. I'm constantly outdoors so I wear clothes that are conducive to getting dirty and being active. I'm a bit homestead-y too so jeans, flannels, boots or barefoot. I've been known to dress up in a nice shirt & bowtie but really don't have any reason to do so anymore; I'm living in a small mountain town in a cabin so if I'm in clean clothes there must be something out of the ordinary happening lol
I think I struggle with dressing up and formalwear because i used to be pretty costume-y with my 'girl' clothes because i felt so uncomfortable, and now i just really don't want to feel like I'm in a costume again ever haha... and my style standards have sort of slipped since i started presenting as male :/ my bofriend says it's ok for me to be a guy, but can't I be a classy guy? the answer is no, this trashbag is now yours, enjoy
I never really dress formally, I find the style to fitting, and I feel self conscious about my chest, hips ect.
I have the same pair of baggy ripped jeans that I wear every day, with the same pair of trainers and a variety of baggy t shirts.
Occasionally I'll wear a pair of basketball shorts if it's hot, or maybe a jumper if I'm feeling smart and it's a bit chilly.
I fit the stereotype of lazily dressed guy, wearing the same clothes every day. I'm hopeless when it comes to fashion
I'm boring, lol. I dress oddly for a 19 y/o. I prefer button ups, polo shirts, simple jeans/khakis/chinos, and flannel shirts. Though I sometimes dress in gym clothes, so a tank top and shorts. And finally: College wear. Sweat pants and a matching shirt, telling all pedestrians I gave up on clothing as soon as I woke up :D
Black and white mostly. K-pop sorta thing. Tumblr I guess? Whatever people call it nowadays. I tend to dress that way or be more formal. I like dress shoes and suit jackets.
I basically live in Canterbury bottoms the ones that say "stadium pant" on the tag, they're so comfy :o I guess they kind of hide my giant thighs too which is why I don't wear jeans. I don't like wearing just t shirts on their own because I get a lot of chest dysphoria so I wear a loose hoodie or something over it, no matter how hot it gets (unless it's my too-big Eden Project t shirt because that's quite dark coloured and loose). If it's a zip-up one or my only flannel shirt I never zip/button them up because dysphoriaaaaaaaaaa*smashes things* though the flannel's kinda tight so that could help kinda
I don't think I really care that much about colours, my flannel's mostly pink with some blue, white and I guess khaki, and I have a Skyrim t shirt that's purple with the Riften sigil thing in yellow on it. My mum asked if the colour bothered me but it doesn't
Once I get a binder I think I'll be more confident in just t shirts. My chest really, really bothers me q:
I don't know if I posted here yet, but my aesthetic hasn't changed much since I was a teenager. Jeans (Levis and RUDE are my go-to), band shirts, striped hoodies, beanies, and occasionally some tie-dye. Nothing too fancy or interesting.

Right now - women's shorty pajamas.
Psst. mac1. You might want to check what board you are in. This one is FTM. They are usually pretty cool with us interrupting but...
Warmly,
Joanna
I wear whatever I want. Around the 'ranch' it's mostly boots, jeans, and oversized loose fitting mens tees. Sometimes I go to the hardware store dressed like that. Other times when I go out, I wear cute flats, jeans, and womens tees. Sometimes I wear a choker chain. I have nowhere to go where a skirt would be appropriate.
Clothes used to be a really big deal for me when I was transitioning. They defined me to some degree. That was a long time ago. It doesn't seem to matter much anymore.
I live in a downtown area next to a university so evreyone wears dresses, me too.

Thanks!
I dress pretty masculine, I wouldn't dare wearing any girly clothes, they just don't feel right on me. Even if I wore a dress or something, I would feel like a guy. I've been wearing a tshirt and joggers on comfy days lately.
Then I wear a button up shirt with some khaki shorts usually or jeans for anything else.
Depends on where I'm going.
Around the house and on errands I wear athletic shorts and a t-shirt/v neck. At work jeans/slacks and a polo/button up. I really like v-necks for some reason, so I've gotten more of those lately. I where a suit when I have to, but dress clothes have always felt out of place for me. Overall I dress like a 12yr old when I'm not forced to wear pants.

V-necks do give a more masculine look and that's what I prefer as well when I don't have to dress up.
I landed myself a summer job so I do wear dress pants and short-sleeves button-ups now on weekdays, and jean with polo on Fridays. Since top surgery, I've been wearing tanks on the weekends no matter what the temperature is haha
Usually basketball shorts and a hoodie. I'm pretty simple.
I tend to wear athletic shorts and random t-shirts around the house. If the weather is hot I'm wearing guys cargo shorts and either polo/t-shirt/v-neck maybe with a button down thrown over it if the shirt reveals too much. I wearc jeans a lot and button downs with ties. At work it's mens polo shirt and mens casual dress pants. Throwing mens sweaters or a hoody/leather jacket over things when the weather is crap.
