I got my ears pierced this afternoon. I'm so excited to have them. This is definitely one of the things I can do that will make a big difference in how I feel.

Cool. Good on you!
Considering that ear piercings are common in men these days there still seem to be a lot of trans women who won't do it until transitioning. I was exactly the same. And even though my ears have been pierced for well over two years now I've never bothered to wear anything dangly or hoops.
Congrats! I pierced my left ear a few years ago myself. I finally worked the courage up last year to get the other pierced, and sure am glad I did. It may seem like a very small thing to do, but it sure feels like a huge deal.
happy for you. :) make sure to keep them cleaned. :) I love having earrings in.
The piercings look great and so do you Daphne :icon_chick: Getting 'bout time to ditch that wig in your avatar, you look better without it
Hugs
Had mine done 2 weeks ago and am so happy with them . They were only sore for few days and have been fine even when running. Seemed like such a big thing to do especially when interviewing for a new job but to be honest I don't think earrings on guys stand out at all these days and I suspect people will assume you always had them and they never noticed.
Daphne darling they look great on you happy to see you get them done I to did something for the first time today I started Lazer treatment on my face
Got mine done in 1977, I grew up in a town full of fishermen & bikers so no one thought it strange having pierced ears. My Gran used to pierce ears with an ice cube, cork and darning needle.
Looking good, I love your look!

I agree, Lili. I was quite uptight about reactions I might get at work. I got a couple of comments, and that's it. Emotionally, it was a huge step for me. My piercings were a tangible symbol of my femininity, even if only to me, and I was putting it out there. It felt very liberating after decades of suppressing myself.
A few months ago, I got a second set of piercings, and went to a professional conference with the piercing studs still in my ears and I didn't think twice about it.

Congratulations.
Congrats! Nice blouse too btw :)
That's awesome Daphne. There's just something about having pierced ears that is unexplainable, but then again, it's one of my favorite things. I am triple pierced in each ear a love them. The way I look at it is they're just tiny holes in your ears, no big deal. Congratulations and take care of them.
Congrats Daphne - they look really nice.
Even if I were to transition full time, I'm too squeamish to have it done. My mom and both grandmothers were all clip-on ladies, so maybe it's genetic.
Thank you, everyone, for the kind and encouraging words! My boss noticed the earrings pretty quick, but didn't mind. He asked if I was planning to stretch them. I don't know if he'd like that. Who knows? lol.
Love you all! <3

They look great!
I had mine done for the first time on Saturday too, 1 in the left ear and two in the right, only wanted 2 of them, but this makes it look kinda cool! I'm not out to anyone yet so don't want any square eyes! Ha
Looking good Daphne! :)
I got my left ear pierced when I was 12 (which was fashionable at the time!) and then got my right ear pierced to match about two months ago (26 years later!). Really looking forward to wearing dangly earrings...I've already picked up three sets in anticipation!
Oh, and I would agree with what the others have said...pierced ears are fairly common on guys these days, so I think it's one of the easier things to do if you want to feel more feminine. That said, anklets, bracelets, necklaces are all lovely things to accessorise with too! ;)
Congrats on your new piercings Daphne! I think your face makeup and outfit look great btw.
LOVE wearing earrings!
I have surgical steel loops that I always leave in, and can hang bigger hoops or danglers from them.
