Title: The Man I Am
Post by: Tristyn on March 30, 2016, 02:44:20 PM
Just a stupid poem I thought of in like 2 minutes....

The Man I Am

Every day I wake up, I silently ask God, "What did I do wrong?" I live inside of an alien in which I do not belong.

Just taking a shower means that I must be strong. I have to learn to get along in a body that just feels so wrong.

When I think of me I see a "he." Others only want me to be a "she." But I swear I cannot breathe when I am "she." Becoming "he" will set me free.

I'd rather be disposable than accommodated so I won't feel so emasculated. Need the strength of an ox just to feel liberation from this gender box.

Yeah, this is the man I am. Whether they see it or not, what I feel on the inside is more real to me than they ever thought.

One day I will be known as Mr. Phoenix Cayman, the great man who earned his freedom.
