None of that happened to me or others in the unit I was in, as far as I know, but we were systematically humiliated, beaten and threatened.
Anyway. in the past now, but important not to forget how far we've all come.

Thank you, and it's wonderful to see the great work you are doing in this brilliant site.
Your experience is equally important, emphasising as it does negative reinforcement, while mine, in a clinical setting, aimed at, though didn't achieve, a positive reinforcement.
Both of course failed and that is another important lesson which we can take from these historical reports.
A post in another thread urges us to "play by the rules" of the medical establishment.
This is a historical reminder of just what sort of rules the medical establishment comes up with if we do not challenge them.
