Hello all,
I'm just starting out myself, but rather scared. All my life I've been fighting the problems of being born a guy....And I 've been rather depressed about it all my life.
I'm about to turn 35....And I'm not sure where to start at all. one of my friends suggested I post here to say hello and talk to you all...Search and learn...But there also is a problem....I am not...well the smartest apple in the tree. Being born with Dyslexia and ADHA....does not help and trying to learn all this that I need to do is rather confusing...
Hi Nemka, welcome to Susan's. I wasn't much older when I started my transition than you are. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs
Mariah

Welcome to Susan's Place. Where you start is up to you because there are so many places to start. The first thing would be to find a good gender therapist and that would take you to HRT if you desire it. On your own, you could start beard removal, makeup, growing your hair out, voice work and learning about everything you ever wanted to know on this site. We have about 10 years of posting history for you to learn from. Feel free to ask questions on this thread and I will be happy to help you.
We are all scared at first and that's why most of us take a long time coming out but you are among friends on this site and we are more than happy to help you.

I'd love to find a good gendertherapist....I'm not sure where to start on this...
There are resources online like phycology today that can help you locate a local gender therapist. Hugs

You should check out your insurance if you have it because there might be one that's covered by your plan. The local LGBT center is also a good resource for locating somebody near you. I haven't needed a therapist in year but I checked the local center's web site and several therapist/therapy groups were listed.
