Title: Took a step
Post by: Christinetobe on April 12, 2016, 04:55:27 PM
So i finally worked up the courage to do something i have wanted to do forever.  I walked into a salon and had my eyebrows waxed and shaped.  I know it is a small thing but it was huge to me
I even told the stylist i was trans and just starting transition.  They look great for a start and i finally can see my eyes the way they should be.  Just wanted to share my little triumph.

Hi Christine,

What a wonderful thing!  I agree, sometimes just letting go and being who you are without anxiety and worry is so replenishing, so nice. I did something like that recently. I went into a wig salon and got myself fitted for a hairpiece.  I was dressed as a guy, and I went in and told them what I wanted.  They couldn't have been more helpful. It felt so good!

Back to your topic, yes, getting your eyebrows done can make such a difference! I got mine done for the first time a couple of months ago, at the place I get electrolysis.  I love it!

With kindness,

Terri

Thank you Terri for your kind words.  I am still just so happy with myself and can't wait to talk with my therapist on Thursday.  She rold me just to do something out of my comfort zone.
