Title: Body Dysmorphia and M2F - My measurements
Post by: JillSS on April 18, 2016, 11:46:12 PM
Uggghh sorry if this whole message sounds weird... I started transition at 22 and I'm 25 now but I have body dysmorphia (uncontrollable paranoia and fear about how your body looks) so sometimes I get a little freaked out about my body. I've never been called out in public or harassed or anything about being transexual and people say I'm very attractive, I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and have even lived at his house around tons of people and none of them even knew I'm transexual (and trust me 99% of them are not the accepting types). Anyways I just want to FINALLY get some feedback from people I don't know on whether my body measurements are okay cause everyone tells me I look great even my mom who's very blunt and critical... But like I said I have a stupid disorder that drives me crazy. And sorry if I sound vain or anything I'm really not and I hate people like that.

Height: 5'6 1/2
Weight: 138
Shoulders: 16inches
Biacromial: 14inches
Upper chest: 36inches
Bust: 35.5inches
Under bust: 32inches
Wrist: 6 inches
Waist: 28.5inches
Upper hips?: 36.5inches
Lower hips?: 40inches
Thighs: 23inches

Are these good measurements/stats in terms of being transexual or in general???

Well I know I'd kill for those measurements.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I am not sure how long you have been on HRT but those are good measurements and they may get better given a little more time. My guess is you have no problems buying clothes off the rack indicating your body is similar to that of a CIS women. If you need additional security, I am 6'2" and about a size 16. Pretty much everything I need has to come from a tall shop or a store that has the larger sizes.

I have similar measurement with a bit less hips and waist and i am looking similar to most fitness model. I don't think you will have any problem with such measurements.

I had the same paranoia for quite a long time. Just relax and let peoples positive comments reach you :)

Transgender isn't measured in inches or millimeters. People come in all shapes and sizes.  :)

Similar measurements to mine except I'm taller. Anyways my body looks like i started hrt at the ideal age so all the feedback you're getting from people in your life is def accurate  ;) And judging from your wrist measurement, you probably have a small frame like me too.
