Title: Sex drive and lack of arousal
Post by: AnxietyDisord3r on April 19, 2016, 04:27:42 AM
I'm 6 weeks on T now, lots of changes downstairs.

Anybody else experience having high sex drive but low arousal, can't get or maintain an erection? The sucky thing is I can't seem to stop myself and attempt to masturbate anyway and end up straining and hurting my neck.  >:(

I miss my erections :(

I went through some depression recently. Usually if you're depressed, sex drive goes away.  ???

Or is this neurological, because my body can't figure out how to engorge again with growth? So confused. And my **** neck hurts!!

Okay, good news everybody. I found out what caused this.

It's a side effect of taking Lithium in males. Between one in five and one in six report inability to get an erection and loss of libido. Despite this, it's not well studied, but I found some papers out there.

I was on Lithium for some time prior to starting T. Once T had monkeyed with my brain enough, I started having the infamous Lithium sexual side effects.
