Title: Hi, another Newbie here
Post by: Traveller on October 20, 2007, 04:30:30 AM
Hello, it seems I'm an oldie here as reading Susan's story (which I enjoyed),  I was getting married in 1971 as a 23yo.  Had my SRS a few years prior.

I'm an Aussie and lived many years in Sydney, but now reside in Brisbane.

Looks like a great board, lets hope I get to know some members.  :)

Thanks Alice, been to Canberra a couple of times, but never lived there.  ;)

Many Canberrians work for the public service, is this view out of date?

I also lived in Melbourne for 2 years back in my early 20's, those trams on a chilly morning would freeze anyone lol   ;D

Hi, Traveller,

Welcome to Susan's!

It sounds like you really have travelled to places that I have only imagined.  If I read your posting correctly, you had GRS in the later 1960s, is that right?

I have a question about living in Australia.  I'd love to live as close to the Equator as I  can but whenever I check into apartments in Darwin and environs I get no hits.  Can you give me any info on that part of the country?

Many thanks,

Wing Walker

That is true late 60's Wing Walker.  My first OP was boobs and then the rest followed 18 months to 2 years later.

I sometimes wonder if I had waited a few years with the medical technology always advancing, whether things may have been different from a sexual point of view.

I lost a lot of my libido and hence my attraction to the opposite sex became less urgent.

This is the first time on a transgender board and I've been on the net since 2003 :)

Hi Traveller

Good to see more Aussies show up. I'm in Adelaide myself and although I've been many places around the world, in Australia I've only been to Melbourne (for 1 day last year :)).
