Curt Schilling, the MLB pitcher-turned-analyst for ESPN, was fired by the network after sharing a post on Facebook that appeared to comment on North Carolina's law that bars transgender people from using the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity.

Mr. Shilling has a history of commenting on issues of race and sexuality. It's a wonder ESPN hired him in the first place. Being a great pitcher does not afford you Great Human Being status automatically.

I don't follow sports and I don't know who he is. This is no big loss to me.
