Hello,I am Monica and I am a post op ts.It was finally 3 years ago in my life knowing there was something not right about me.I always had this feeling that I was really female in my teens and hid them.I finally did come out 3 years ago about it and it was my dad first.I knew he would understand me the most.It took him a little bit to take it in and realized I was not happy about something in the past.He decided to be supportive of me going through the transition.I did start my transition 3 years ago and glad I did.A better me started to come out and realized this is me.My dad says I am a better person in life and I agree with him to this day.Best part of my transition was last year when I had my GRS.Looking back to this day, there have been no regrets doing this at all.Married too and my wife still loves me whom I have 3 teenage daughters with.My daughters whom are 18,15 and 13 have adjusted to the changes very well although it took one step at a time knowing dad is now a woman
Welcome to Susan's Place. I have a few more years on you as my surgical date was 1982 but it sounds like you are comfortable in your new life. We have some post surgical people on the site but far to few. Many people after completing their transition move on to a new life but a few stay and a few like me from long ago discover the site for the first time. Your advice will be welcome and if there is anything I can help you with, let me know.
We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

Hi Monica,
What a cool name!!! Welcome to Susan's. I am fairly new myself and have found it to be a very welcoming place. It sounds like things have gone well. So happy for you! Isn't it great that younger folks many times adjust as well as they do? See you around.
Moni(ca)
Did I mention I like that name. :)
Monica,
Welcome to Susan's. Wow. I am 51. Just accepted this last year. Married for 25 years with three teen daughters. How cool is that? You sound a lot more settled than I am at this point. However, it is an inspiration and something to look forward to. I am thrilled to see how well this has turned out for you.
I hope you find what you are looking for here.
With warmth,
Joanna
I wanted a son and my dad taught me a valuable lesson, you don't get what you want sometimes.I could not live my life as a man anymore.
Hello Monica and welcome to Susan's. Congratulations on your transition and your family acceptance. Your story is truly inspirational.
😊
