Title: Very slight facial changes- caused by HRT?
Post by: richie on April 25, 2016, 10:48:05 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm three months on HRT and I haven't really noticed any significant changes in my face so far.
However, it seems like my face looks more "lifted" than before- the cheeks kind of look like they're being pulled up by invisible strings. I also notice that my lips are fuller. Concurrently, my eyelid fat has gone down dramatically. I used to have hooded eyes but now I have a huge eyelid with lots of space for eyeshadow. My eyes look like they've been sunken in. My skin is also brighter and less oily.
I honestly feel like I look so much more taut and refined.
Overall, I would say that I look the same as before but just a little more touched up.

Are these changes caused by HRT or is it just a coincidence??

Just curious. Thanks!

Facial changes by HRT are often small but noticeable. One thing that will help you see them more it to have a toothy smile like the one in my avatar. That make the cheeks where some if the fat is placed much more noticeable. You are still early in the game and may see even more changes over the next few months.

My face was among the first changes I noticed.  The redistribution in my face makes it look a lot more skinny or narrow.

The toothy smile is nice, but I cannot picture someone adopting it as a natural resting face. RBF (what's her problem?) Vs. RTSF(What has she been smoking?).  ;D

I went to vote tonight and the committee person said she did not know who I was and did I just move into the neighborhood. I lived there 24 years. My face features have become very soft and curved.

Well, first off, I started hrt quite young, so take this with a grain of salt, but I had effectively no upper lip before transitioning. At around three weeks of estrogen, my lips got fuller, and now they're quite big. I'd say that hrt is having an effect on you. :)
