Brand new here. Lurked a bit and knew I belonged. Look forward to meeting everyone. Ive been a closet dweller all my life, and just joining this forum is a big step for me.
Umm...cant seem to figure out how to put up a profile pic ?
Hi Selena, first of all welcome!
I joined this community just yesterday and from what I was told, you have to have at least 15 posts or replies on forum to be able to put up your profile pic.
I`m already looking forward new people and friends here :) I`ve been reading articles on this page for so long and have to say, even that helped me a lot in my transgender struggles. I hope you find everything you need here :)
Thank you Sidney !! so very nice to meet you. I know I'll have tons of questions, but I'll read through the forum first as I'm sure many have been answered already.
My most annoying problem today..and its a tiny one..is my wig, I got to get some detangler :)
Well, my biggest problem at the moment is a hairloss. It started about a year ago. Pretty late, when you consider I`m 25 years old now. Anyway, I can`t stop it since it`s that stupid male hormone acting up. I guess I just have to hold on to what I have and wait for testosterone blockers.

so sorry to hear that Sidney :( hoping for the best
A little about me. Ive hidden who I am my whole life, and still am hiding it. How long have I known, well when I was four (and I still remember it clearly) my mother come outside and told me I shouldnt dress like that, people would think we had a little girl here. Guess Mom didnt realize she did..so I lived as a man but never did a good job of it..often dressing up in private, which I still do.
Finding these types of forums is a first step..I dont know or cant say where it will go, but for now Im just happy i have found like minded people to share and talk.
Yes, sharing is often a first step. And some say even the most important one! You can start sharing here, on forums and then gradually broaden up and be more confident in real life about your struggles. I found out other posts here too help a great deal with this.
The bottom line: I used to think I`m the only one and felt not normal. Then found out it`s pretty normal. And that helped me to stop accusing myself of doing something wrong :)
Never thought of myself as "normal"...maybe thats something I need to work on
Well, not "normal" per-se, but normal as there is someone else out there who has similar problems as me. When I was younger, I had no internet and no resources to look at, so I thought I am the only one on the planet. That made me think I had to do something wrong. And I was sad because of that.
Hello Selena :-)
Selena,
Welcome to the site. Yes, you need to have posted 15 quality posts before a number of restrictions are taken off your account, including avatar pictures.
I only came to my realization(acceptance) last year. Talk about kind of late. Slowly working through my journey. It is a big step for you. I always thought I was some sort of pervert or monster so, it's not unusual. You are not alone.
I also wanted to pass along some links to you. They are for newly posting members. They include welcome info(like when you get to put up an avatar) and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to read them, please take a moment now to do so:

You make a great point Sidney. The internet has been a blessing, not just for sites like this and make up tips, but for the fact that it is helping bring awareness to those that dont understand
