Well everyone after viewing this site for many months and reading everyone's post's I have finally realized I need to join in. Denni, had been living in the shadows of Denny for to long and two years ago finally said enough, no more coming out for short periods of time, only to be purged and pushed back into those shadows. I accepted that I am transgender and no longer fought it. For so long I thought there was something wrong with me, but with knowledge gained with reading everything I could on the subject realized that I am a member of a very special group of people. We are TRANSGENDER ! I also know that I am a lesbian trapped in a male body. I am getting on in life, very active physically, and most think I am 10 to 12 years younger than I actually am. I am a marine vet and did everything I could in the male world to try and suppress what I thought were abnormal feelings and wants. No such luck I found that for some reason that as I grew older those feelings and wants only grew stronger. My wardrobe has gradually changed to include the proper jeans, slacks, shorts, and tops that I can wear and not have family or friends wonder.
I am seriously considering low dose HRT but know the first step to that is a doctors visit, but also wonder what changes I can expect with it. So here I am, and looking forward to being a part of this community. Take care everyone
Hi Denni and welcome to Susan's. Congratulations on accepting yourself as transgender. That's a big first step.
😊
You are so lucky to look younger! That is definitely something that will help you to put forward your feminine side. Also, many people don`t feel very well while they transition- at least at early stages from what I gathered. And you are very active. That should help you hush those bad thoughts!
I`d say you have nothing to fear :)
Also, welcome, Denni!

Thanks for the greetings. One of the things that I was able to see as I grew familiar with this site is that take it slow and think things out before taking another step in the transition journey. That's what I am trying to do so that this journey can be as painless as possible for me and everyone else involved. All advice is welcome, thanks, take care.

Hi Denni,
So glad to hear you are finding the real you. Your comment about the feelings getting stronger with age sounds very familiar to me and many other folks. It sounds like you have a positive attitude. That really helps a lot. It is nice to meet you. Good luck!
