Title: Options Concerning Phallo
Post by: justanothertranboy on May 07, 2016, 10:44:01 PM
Hey,

Again, here I come with further questions since the only other person who could answer these would be a surgeon but I don't really have any access to that, at the moment (missed my first appt. towards phalloplasty because of A-Level mock exams, eurgh).

But yeah, I was only wondering if anyone knew how flexible things are in the UK on the NHS? Personally all I want is the hysterectomy, phallus, glansplasty, erectile device and testicular implants (willing to get the testicles later, privately, since I feel as though they aren't as necessary as the phallus). Meanwhile I have no interest in standing-to-pee (heard this causes the most complications plus I find peeing standing up uncomfortable) or having a vaginectomy (I like using that part of my body).

Also, how many surgeries would the above require? I would assume they do the hysterectomy with the phalloplasty or am I incorrect assuming that? Is there anywhere where this information is clearly formatted?

Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

I am not in the UK. But I can confirm that the hysterectomy (according to Crane's website) is necessary to have at least 3 months prior to phalloplasty.
