Title: FTM Face?
Post by: PeterSteele on May 15, 2016, 05:08:32 PM
Sorry for the unclear title. But I have various questions about FTM face. How can you get more of a masculine look like you know jawline, face is round and baby face look, ect? Does your face change masculine when you go on Testosterone? And please if you know anything else add that in.
Thanks  ;)

Your face will become much more masculine on T. You will lose facial fat, have a more masculine hairline and grow facial hair.

Losing weight can help reduce cheek fat, but apart from that it is hard to get a more masculine face pre-t.

Thank you this really helped because I'm Pre-T and I was nervous that once I go on T it wouldn't do much but just facial hair

It depends on when you start. It won't do much to change bone structure if you start taking it post puberty. Any changes that might come from taking T during puberty will be down to genetics; after all many genetic men don't have very masculine faces. Of course it can be next to impossible to start T until after puberty. Not very helpful I know.

Some guys faces will get puffy during the first few months-year on T. My face was very round and puffy for about a year and a half. I began working out and eating a lot healthier which helped the puffiness go away. My face is now more masculine after two years. The changes take awhile to notice, you have to be patient.

the puffiness (on T or before) could be water retention from too much salt and not enough water?

And other guys have no puffiness and notice facial changes immediately.  It's one of those annoying situations where it depends on your genetics and bodily makeup and lifestyle.  But you can count on T to help you somewhat!  Makeup worked to help me look more masculine pre-T as well, but after 7 months on it I don't really need anything to make it look masculine. My features are still more delicate than I'd like, but generally my face is waaaay more square and masculine.

I had a fat face pre-T. There were times during my first year on T when my face looked pretty bloated. I can't tell you if it just T working its magic or a combination of T and weight loss, but my face looks a lot more masculine now.
