Frankly, not sure why this detransitioned person is talking about 'embarrasment' and 'the sex industry' and other body modifications as if thats what being trans is about, but srsly, I cant be the only one who feels this is bs
There are always going to be people who, for any number of reasons, will regret transition. It's fine for them to talk about their regret as long as they are only talking about themselves. When they try to make it about everyone else - that is, "I was 'wrong' therefore so is everyone else" - that's when it is problematic.
The bit that really infuriates me is the deliberate appealing to the god crowd and the 'youre embarrased and ahamed and need help' and the saying its the worst thing you can do?
you know: worse than murder, rape, genocide, slavery, exploitation, conning, blackmailling, asault etc etc
If this person wants to manage their gender dysphoria and internalized-transphobia by being a martyr for a deity, by all means, but I wish they didn't advocate that other transgender individuals take a path of masochism.
I'm a free speech absolutist, but it should be illegal, in every state, to treat LGBT children with conversion therapy ("get help").

This has always been the strategy of people that do not want society to progress. Find someone that outwardly would appear to be on the other side, and get them to agree with you and then promote it like crazy.
Find a rare black man that fought for the confederacy
Find women that are against suffrage
Find people with bad alcoholism stories to promote prohibition
Find women that promote misogyny
Find "ex-gay" people for change therapy
Find ex-trans people
etc etc.
The song remains the same, and society progresses.
