"Anti-trans conservatives are vowing to take their Target protests to "another level" with a message for LGBT equality groups: "Sin is not a civil right."
That's the theme of a new video from Faith2Action, a religious right-wing group that bills itself as "pro-life, pro-family, and pro-active — to win the cultural war for life, liberty, and the family." Founded by Janet Porter, the organization was classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2016."
Well, isn't that special?
I forced myself to watch the video to know what we're dealing with.
Don't.
Being trans a "sin"...to say that me existing is a sin; as a Christian, that hurts me SO much.
I hope they come here just so I can counter-protest. It should be a pleasant way to vent some of my frustrations over living in such a conservative place.
It doesn't say that our existing is a sin. It says that we are sin incarnate. And yes, when I was a Christian that realization did hurt because it places us entirely outside the Christian plan of salvation. Do they realize that this is their message?

They are obviously the ones with reading comprehension issues. Jesus didn't turn away anyone, and he was especially fond of the poor and the marginalized. When he said "I don't know you," he's referring to them. They are the ones missing the core of Jesus' teachings, the parts that most people do agree on - everyone that is except for ->-bleeped-<-s like them.

Wow. That video was pathetic. I do love this line in their goofy little song, though: "Calling evil good will never make it right." Guess what, guys? That absolutely fits YOU people to a tee. It certainly doesn't apply to us. Sensible people don't act like idiots. Sensible people just shop, hit the head when they need to and buy coffee at the Starbucks that is in there. (For some reason..don't ask me why) It's only nutjobs that spread misinformation and whacked out ideas that make no sense whatsoever.
It's kind of weird how trans has all of a sudden become the confllct of the day.

That's because we are so powerful. According to that Catholic Bishop the other day we have the power to kill God. Imagine that, more powerful than the omnipotent one.
We are truly awesome

Actually, I think it's the opposite. It's because we're not powerful enough. They are bullies at heart, picking the fights they think they can win.
The whole trans/bathroom issue and the idiots are starting to wear me thin. I got an email from an acquaintance about a letter to the editor he had published. He does know I'm transgender so I gave him a quick Trans 101 lesson, told him to remove me from his mailing list and FXXX OFF. Don't let me catch one of these Bible thumpers in my neighborhood Target or they'll get their everything in the Bible is true turned on them. Did that at church last Sunday and really teed off the Sunday School teacher with that line of reasoning. He agreed it was 100% accurate but then denied the earth was flat and held up at the 4 corners by angels, or that rabbits chew their cud, which they don't. But he wouldn't agree that there are inaccuracies. Go figure!
Unbelievable...
Just put "Go shopping at Target" into my calendar for June 4th.
Actually, "sin" is a civil right, "life, liberty, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS". Crime is not a civil right but crime and sin are not the same, much as some groups would like them to be.
So, I fed "Sin is not a civil right" to the Anagram Generator:
Christian Loving, Is It?
Thank you, Anagram Generator! 8)

One simple line from the bible.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

ROFL!!
My response to "Sin is not a civil right" will be "Keep your god's opinions out of my life".
Target, June 4th (Saturday)...yeah, I can do that. And I'll be sure to drink a LOT of water before arriving... :-*
The facts that are lost on these people or they choose to ignore is that by fighting their culture war, they are not being christ-like and actually hastening the end of their ideology.

I don't think it's weird at all. They have been realizing for years now they will loose the "culture war" against homosexuals, and the Supreme Court decision to legalize same-sex marriage in all 50 states rang the death knell of that "war." Now they need a new boogeyman, and though I fear things may potentially get worse for awhile, they aren't going to achieve anything except for hastening our rights being bestowed upon us, such as how some states that were vehemently fighting same-sex marriage got their laws against it overturned by the Supreme Court, and had legal same-sex marriage installed (I thought it was so awesome when happened here in Indiana). The Federal Appeals courts already have a record of siding with us, so I don't see our case being voted against us when it does eventually come before the Supreme Court, especially with Obama having the right, duty, and responsibility as acting president to fill Scalia's vacancy.
I don't think it's weird at all, and fortunately the types who go on about this crap are a dying breed.
