Title: How to appear more androgynous??
Post by: Dankmemester420 on May 30, 2016, 01:04:38 AM
How would I got about trying for a more androgenyous body type as a male?
I have somewhat broad sholders, and i am really short 160cm and am 18.

I was thinking somewhat along the lines of a body type similar more like an hourglass type of shape but not very drastic more like a waist to hip of around .8
Currently it is around 1.0

As for possible for the less disconcerable from the back view what would be reccommended for the postieror.

What could be done about the broadness of the sholders or would longer hair covering the collar bone area make it appear less broad

My approximent guess of the ratio of my sholders to waist would be around 1.5 or would a type of clothing or cometitic proceedure reduce the ratio or make it less disconcernable?

What would be a good way to achieve a similar type of body type. As my current anatomical figure stands it appears more rectangular. Surgery or hormones can be considered, depending on the cost. If their is a natrual way to get a physical appearance similar to that of the ratios described. that would also be helpful.

Most likely 1-2cm on both sides on the hips would achieve such. Or a reduction in waist size.

A question about hair would be wondering is it grows out more into a puffball like shape (think of a diandelion)
rather than laying flat making difficult to grow out is there a workaround to this?

MAAB means assigned male at birth while AFAB or FAAB means assigned female at birth. As for looking androgynous there's something called a 'waist trainer' to make you look curvier and you can buy a binder to make your chest look flat. Maybe try a different hairstyle as well.

OK. First of all, I think you're way too concerned about body proportions. While certain physical dimensions can certainly enhance an androgynous look, most of us simply manage with what we've got. You can more easily adjust your fashion, though, and there's a lot you can do with it. Thumb through any fashion magazine and you'll see a number of interesting looks that are strikingly feminine or androgynous more from hair, clothing and accessories than the model's body. In fact, most high fashion models are chosen because they have somewhat masculine features.

Growing your hair to your shoulders will certainly help with the broad shoulder look. Hair that forms something of a vertical line from the head to below the shoulders can be narrowing. Wear vertical lines or darker colors on your shoulders and torso. Don't worry about your "postieror". I haven't seen you, but I suspect you don't need any surgery or medical treatments just for the purpose of looking more androgynous. Everyone is overly body conscious when their 18. No matter what you do, you're going to have to learn to love yourself as you are at some point. Remember that.

Eyebrows...shaved chest and legs, hair, clothes.... Endless possibilities.
