Title: My Yoga Pants Sizing
Post by: popa910 on May 31, 2016, 01:17:43 AM
Hey everybody,

Just wanted to put this here to hopefully help somebody out!

I recently purchased a pair of yoga pants (these pants, to be specific: http://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Womens-Ankle-Legging-Black/dp/B005GYGGRG/177-5585007-9739756?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 (http://www.amazon.com/Spalding-Womens-Ankle-Legging-Black/dp/B005GYGGRG/177-5585007-9739756?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00)) to experiment with wearing clothing more typically associated with women.  However, I had a difficult time determining what size would be best for me.  I know this site has a wiki with a guide for clothing sizes (https://www.susans.org/wiki/Clothing_Sizes (https://www.susans.org/wiki/Clothing_Sizes)), but it's still a bit of a gamble because, of course, the guide can't tell you information specific to your body.

So, I'm just posting this in the hopes of helping others.  I'm a rather small guy: 5' 6", ~130 lbs.  I'm pretty skinny; my jeans are usually 30x30 or 31x30.  I ended up purchasing the small size of the yoga pants, which is made for women with waist 26-27 inches.  I got this size even though it's a bit smaller than my 30 inch waist because yoga pants do have a bit of stretch, and they fit fantastically!  :D

I'll post pictures if I can find a place in which I'm comfortable photographing myself!

Just be aware that clothing size calculators can be off, and especially for me I always need to size 4-6 sizes down. I know it sounds crazy, but clothing can be weird in this way!
