Title: My breasts
Post by: spx_1112 on May 31, 2016, 06:31:36 AM
My breasts appear to be going through another growth spurt.  They are super sensitive and tender.  My nipples are very perky.  The areolas are darkening more too.  Family history would indicate I would become a C to maybe D cup.  My body has completely accepted HRT.  I'd love to hear from others on their experiences.

Hugs
Shannon

Wonderful! I share the good luck with HRT. I had some gynecomastia as a young adult, so i was never flat per se, but i have gone from a large A to a large C pretty quickly. I'm beginning to think i am heading for a D. Progesterone added recently seems to be rounding them and changing my areolas.

The other effects of HRT have been considerable as well, form soft skin, loss of body hair and changing where i have gained weight. My last set of measurements put me into the "hourglass" shape category according to fashion sites. Even my feet have shrunk a bit. My spouse has used the word "shocking" to describe my body changes. These results are ones that are supposed to occur over a 2-4 year period. I have to say, i feel guilty when i see others here struggling for results.

My starting T levels were not that high, so my doc commented that I am likely "more receptive" to the hormonal changes than many would be.

Robyn. When did you start HRT?  Are you seeing a GP or Endo?

Thanks! I started in February of 2015, but the first two months was spiro only. Estrogen came next and I added progesterone a month or so ago.

I'm seeing a GP and i am only about her 3rd Transgender patient. She definitely studied up for me though.

Let me know if you want to PM.   I'm seeing a GP but considering an Endo or OB/GYN.

I was Estrogen first.  Interesting the order doctors prescribe.

Within the first week to 10 days my body was outwardly changing and of course my mind was too. Emotionally so much better calmer and focused. I'm embracing it all.

I started with gynecomastia as well, and it was a mixed blessing; I enjoyed the immediate growth (I had visible development in the first week), but ending up a C cup by 3 months on HRT outed me at work and sped up my transition plans considerably more than I was prepared for.

(These days, I think I'm done growing - 38DD and they've definitely gone from "perky" to, well, "mature." ;) )

Congrats on hrt

I like you, also had some growth within the first week of hrt. I remember waking up on day 3 of my hrt and noticing that my nipples had started swelling and were getting sensitive. I started wearing a sports bra from that day onwards.  My first buds developed within 2 weeks and I had noticeable A cup breasts after one month, at this stage I started wearing more regular padded bra's (T-shirt bras).  I reached B cup after 3 months.. then thing slowed down.. C cup end of year 1 and D cup by end of year 2. D cup seems to be my size.
