Tennessee attorney David French, who in recent years has become a prominent right-wing writer, is being urged by some conservative leaders to make a late entry into the 2016 presidential race as an independent candidate, according to two people close to him.
======================
French is not a friend to the transgender community. He wrote an opinion in the National Review on 5/16 sharply critical of the letter the Obama administration sent out reminding school systems about the rights of transgender students.
This could only help us as it would work to split the Republican vote. Furthermore, even on the extremely slim chance he won, anything would be better than Trump.

I'm not actually sure he'd be better than Trump, but at this point I'm in favor of anything that splits the vote on the right.

Probably he would not be better for us than Trump. But overall, any possible option would be a better choice for President overall.

Oh, there's a lot wrong with The Great Orange Hope, no doubt. The dedicated "social conservatives" OTOH really don't inspire much confidence either.
I'm not a republican or democrat...but I don't think trump will be the end of the world for trans issues. Cruz, yes. That said, I'm not a one issue voter. All rights matter to me, as does character. Neither front runner has good character and I'd say both probably score high on the psychopathy scale. What one would protect, may be the other would take away. I'm either voting for johnson or myself. I wont feed the one party system. If people would only divorce themselves from wanting to be on the winning team, false narratives and the idea that politicians give a crap about you or I, we could start from a better rational place.

Quick question. What crimes has Hillary been convicted on. Ken Starr was on speed dial for eight years. Also if you've been paying attention our economy is on an upward trajectory. It is said Hillary will continue on with Obama's programs. Cons even had to create evidence against her for the Benghazi investigation. Why is it that politicians don't give a crap about you. Most Dems don't vote so they get what they deserve.
