"A transgender woman is in the hospital after being shot in the back early Friday morning.
Authorities said she was found at a gas station at Harbor and Westminster boulevards in Santa Ana around 3 a.m.
It was unclear what led to the shooting. Authorities said the victim wasn't shot at the gas station, but she stumbled there after being hit."
What a shame, it's not safe being out at 3AM........I've been there done that no more, 3PM in the safe daylight.

Unfortunately, some people must be out and about in the middle of the night, from working hours, or the nature of their work. (I worked a lab job that had me walking from the bus to home at 1 AM. Others, including some poor transgender women, were out there working as well. :-\ )
We're all human beings. It would be nice to be considered as such by others, for a change.

It's so sad, none of us want to harm anyone on the planet, we just need to live our lives.....but there are some that just hate us, I've been there first hand with bad people.....Please be careful.

sad thing is not even 3 PM. I was talking to someone last week who was walking on a street in the downtown area I live and someone came up from behind and hit him in the head with a gun and stole his watch.
I have been through that intersection many times on Harbor and that area isn't one of the better neighborhoods. It's one of the earlier settled areas and it's not where you would live if you have money.
I've driven through there as well, but given my various jobs in younger days there are very few streets in Southern Calif. and Central Calif. that I haven't driven on
It is so heartbreakingly sad when we read about these incidents happening :'(
