Title: In other people's dreams...
Post by: Ms Grace on June 16, 2016, 06:52:54 PM
A woman at work told me she had a dream about me. She gave me a few details - if there were embarrassing sexy bits she never went into them (understandable, I know I never told colleagues the sexy bits if I had erotic dreams about them... awkward!!).

Anyhooo, sexy bits or not, it made me wonder about the gender imprint of me in her dream. After all, dreams are primarily sub-conscious hallucinations that visually build on our view of our lives and, given I've never told her that I'm trans, was the woman version of me that she dreamed of fully genetic? That kind of boggles my mind.

As for people who knew me before I transitioned and still know me, if they dream of me now what does that dream avatar of me look like? My mother mentioned to me she had recently been dreaming a lot our family from years ago when my brother, sister and I were kids. She didn't go into details, but I presumed she was dreaming of me as young boy... (and I suspect she would not have told me if she had dreamed of me as a girl instead). Oh no! Misgenedered in a dream!! ;D

Have you heard about dreams others have had of you? Did you get any gendered details (sexy or otherwise)??

If my wife's dreams weren't typically on the scale of the average Cecil B Demille production I would ask her, I am too afraid  :o

Great question!

A good 1/2 or more of the 'Quality' time we spend together I am in fem mode. All to most of the time she gets name and pronouns IAW my presentation. About all the time she speaks as if I am (full-time) female.  (Which makes my FTM dreams even weirder!)  One thing I can almost guarantee is there are NO sexy  ;) details these days.... But then..... >:-)

Years ago I did once dream about one short colleague as being really, really short. It was quite funny. Another bald male colleague had a lush head of hair. And in another dream a female colleague had no pants on (yes, sexy bits!)... so these were all weird dreams about people rather than weird dreams with people in them. They talk about multiple universes, but we also exist in multiple dream universes too!

Cough and confusion (whoops that was sic)

If a woman tells you she is dreaming about you, with your sexuality and where you happen to work I would very strongly suggest a date.

Probably after work pizza dinner!

Grace ! Go for it!!!!!!!!

Ask her out

Jeez I'm terminal and giving dating advice!!!!!

Well, we damn well better take it, Cindy, and fast!

My partner has always maintained that she is NOT responsible for anything she does in other people's dreams. Not really the same thing but after going full time a year ago i noticed that me in my dreams now is the me in my life transgender,  full time exc. then again i get misgendered and dead named in my dreams more than in the waking world. last night i dreamed i was pregnant. weird because i never really think about that but in the dream i was excited about it.

I agree with Cindy, your co-worker is thinking about you.

She's a very lovely lady, but alas... married to a dude... ::)

Grace,
There is a transgender member here that is a friend of mine of whom this dream topic applies. I am not transgender so maybe I shouldn't post in this section but since my friend is I will.

I had a dream around 1976 of a certain girl. Two years ago I read this girl's partial dream on this site. I asked her when it was. She tells me and we pm each other about it. It turns out I could tell her where she was, what she was wearing and the song in the dream and her favorite verse of that song.

We have been friends since and spoken frequently by pm and such. I can't say I know why I had the dream about her and she doesn't know why she had the dream. All we know is that we had the exact same dream about her about 35-40 years before we ever met. Every detail is the same. Strange but a blessing.

Grace this is the first time I have seen anyone bring up this topic on the internet in a trans group. Wow quite interesting.

A trans girl I dated in real life after my transition to Jennifer told me a couple of times that she dreamed of me. To answer your question: I didn't specifically ask her, but I would assume she dreamed of me as Jennifer because she never knew me before I transitioned to Jennifer. So she was probably attracted to Jennifer as female since she didn't know me any other way.

I am mostly attracted to men at this point and I've had intimate in-person sexual relationships with about 40 men in 2015 and 2016. That is a LOT of dating quite obviously. Some of the men have told me they constantly have thought about me and fantasized about me. To answer your question, they can only be fantasizing about me as very girly female Jennifer since none of them knew me as anyone except Jennifer, post-transition.

To whatever extent being pre-op might play in all of these many men's attraction to me, well it is likely that is part of it. This bothers some trans ladies but it doesn't bother me. I am who I am and I cannot yet afford GRS but I love to please men. So it makes me feel great and feminine to be the fantasy dream girl for so many men.

Best of all, I may actually land a genuine fiance soon out of all this.

Thank you Grace, I have thoroughly enjoyed engaging you on your rather innovative question.

Jennifer xx
