Title: How is your sex drive after any GRS operations?
Post by: Richenda on June 18, 2016, 08:07:31 PM
Hi my lovelies,

I was reading up about my orchiectomy last night and got slightly scared about the loss of sex drive. My aim is to have full GRS in the next 24 months but it got me wondering.

For those who have had orchiectomies, did you lose all desire / sex drive?

For those who have had full SRS, what happened to your sex drive? Did it come back like before? If it returned how long did it take?

At first the last thing I wanted to do (or could do for a better term) was think about my vagina as a sexual thing.

As a result my sex drive dropped off for a few months.
After those first few months it started to creep back, at first there was a little of awareness, then I started to get real "toey".

Now my sex drive is as high as ever, it will come back, but from what I went through it will die off at first.

Think of it as grass, it looks dead, a bit of rain and sunshine and before you know it, the backyard is green and nearing out of control.

I like Nicole's description. One reason for me to lose my sex drive after surgery was the fear of damaging the new equipment. It's very sensitive for a few months after surgery. However, one day I had the urge and had an amazing orgasmn, now I have my sex drive back. It's a different drive from when I was a male and I'm still trying to understand it.

Wow that's super encouraging. I'm wondering if an orchiectomy is very different. I guess I'm hoping my orchie doesn't ultimately yield less 'green grass' (I love that too!) than if I went straight for GRS from the off?
