I just purchased new shorty negligee outfit and matching panties at la Vie en Rose at Sq One in Mississauga near Torotnto.
My boy friend and I were browsing among the sale merchandise at the front the store. I spied the lingerie I had been looking at on your website, but could not find the one i had picked to buy.
A very nice young female store clerk approached and asked if she could help. I asked if there were any larger sizes as I could only find medium and I needed an extra large. She asked who it was for so she could help pick the right size, I said it was for myself, and also asked if she had the ones we had been looking at on line. She asked me to pick it out on line and took me over to her computer and show her which we were able to find quite quickly. My size was all gone, so she picked something else she thought might fit and look good on me.
Since there did not appear to be any bottoms,I asked if she had any panties to go with it and she took me to what she thought was appropriate and asked me what size, she suggested large which I should have let her give me, but I normally wear a size 7 in panties so I asked for medium. She said they were on sale, did I want 4 pair for $28.00 instead or $12. for one pair. I asked her to help me pick out 4 pair which she easily did.
She did not mind that I was gay/TG, I was a customer that needed help. It was very much appreciated. She made a purchase that some make very difficult, very easy, I will be back.
I did send a similar letter to La Vie en Rose, thanking them for her and her great service. :) :) :eusa_dance: :eusa_dance:
Welcome to Susan's Place. As you shop more, I think you will find that for the most part, stores are pretty accepting. The merchandise in the store is for sale and they don't really care who buys it. Sometimes you might get a clerk with issues but I suspect they don't last long if management finds out. Congratulations on your purchases.
We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

I am so glad Georgii had a nice experience. Years ago I would be looked upon as a pervert when I even strolled thru the women's section, now I am often asked the same question "Is this a thoughtful gift, or a gag gift?" When I reply that it is for me, the conversation shift smoothly to what occasion, what style, what size and the like. We usually shop in mainstream department stores (the boutiques are usually out of our budget). We generally have a more positive experience when choosing a younger salesperson (<50) as we are both near that magic number.

I either shop at Wal-Mart or thrift stores and never had problems.
I've found it gets a little easier each time. I haven't had a really good experience, but no bad ones either. I'm sure both are waiting for me, but that's OK.
I shop mostly at thrift stores. I've never had an issues with the staff at any place I go. One store even knows me and always greet me with a smile. They are really helpful.
The people I've found who have a problem with me shopping are some of the other customers. Just this morning I was trying on some really cute black pumps (they were too small :( ) There was a woman about my age, mid 50s, who saw what I was doing. Her jaw dropped and her eyes popped out of her head. She snorted and practically ran out of the aisle! I know I shouldn't laugh out loud at people like that but I did kind of snicker. :D
When I'm shopping at VS, Walmart, Target, Goodwill wherever the girls are so helpful and sweet.

Oh that is funny. You handled it well, I'd snicker too. I shop with my wife; if we happen to be out and see something that catches my eye or she thinks I'd look good in we check it out. There have been several times that a prudish person has overheard our conversation and turned a couple shades of white, lol. Narrow minded view of the world and people. Why can't people just see that others are happy and not hurting anyone? Maybe its more fun to get your knickers in a twist....
