Title: I came out to my best friend!
Post by: CaseyN on June 28, 2016, 04:47:34 AM
I have a friend who I love. She is more like family to me than my actual family, and I figured if I were to come out to anyone- she is my best bet. I intentionally tried to back myself into a corner where I had to tell her but talked my way out of it. If I wasn't wearing thick sunglasses, she would have seen me almost crying from being afraid of being wrong.

But after a day of steady drinking, we had the talk. It felt like it took me forever to actually say it, and she was shocked, but she assured me that I'm still her favorite person and that we'll always remain friends and offered help with anything for this. She had lots of questions and we still need to have a long (and sober) talk, but I feel like a huge burden has been lifted. I am so happy that I have a friend as awesome as her and also that I now have someone I can talk to face to face.
:D

Great to hear she accepts you. ^_^ Sometimes it's friends who are more like family than relatives.
