Title: Wearing Breast Forms While on HRT
Post by: SubspaceCroc on June 30, 2016, 11:11:08 AM
Hey

So just recently I started my HRT (finally!), anyway I just wondered if people had any advice regarding breast forms. Since I came out a while back I've been wearing them to give me a more female appearance and 'blend in' more. But I'm worried now that I've started HRT that I should stop wearing them? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Forever-Young-Silicone-Breast-SunTan/dp/B007ZO8GTG/ref=pd_sim_364_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=417i6Mos61L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=KVZWVVRXNYGFCCS3846F (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Forever-Young-Silicone-Breast-SunTan/dp/B007ZO8GTG/ref=pd_sim_364_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=417i6Mos61L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=KVZWVVRXNYGFCCS3846F) It's these one's here.

As you can see from the pictures they don't stick to the chest at all they simply go in any bra, and lay flat against the chest. Would wearing something like this hinder or harm my breast growth?

I've also read that your chest can get sensitive after a time and I'd rather not appear at my uni one day without the breasts. I've read comments elsewhere about getting some that don't lay flat but curve more to accommodate breasts, I haven't seen any though online (if this is a viable option and they don't hinder breast growth), so if it is ok could someone point me in the right direction to finding some?

Rather than full forms, try a product like "chicken cutlets", silicone gel pads that can be placed in a bra and adjusted to fill the gap between yourself and the cup.   They're available at Amazon (and in the prom dress section of certain large department stores ;) ).  When combined with a T-shirt bra, the effect on little AAs is... Um... Amazing.

Can't see why there would be any problem using forms when on HRT. If you already have a little breast tissue, consider forms that are concave on the inside to accommodate your breast tissue. Happy wearing.

Agreed. I used to use them, especially because different bras of the same size will fit differently, and sometimes it helps using those to fill in any gaps.

I will second that.  I can't imagine using breast forms now. My breasts are too sensitive, and it would quickly become uncomfortable.

Personally I favored concave style breast forms such as the one's below which I used while on hormones. By no means are these to be a recommendation but a suggestion to compare to other brands as this brand is now cheap.

During my year my breast went from flat to an small B-Cup with no issues especially as they matured I simply adjusted the straps to suit the growth.

Bottom line is how much projection do you want, a little then go with the recommendations before me, otherwise if more projection and fill is desired consider the above.

Thanks all, I'll look into getting some of the "chicken cutlet" style silicone pads at some point. I'm only a week into HRT so I doubt I'll need them soon, I hear growth takes a while. I just wanted to try and be prepared. Thanks again.
