Title: Question about the growth downstairs
Post by: FreakOfNature on June 30, 2016, 03:12:00 PM
Hello everyone, I had a question for those who have been on T for a long time.  Was taking it consistently at a normal male range dosage required for any growth down there to star occurring?

I've been on T for a little over 2 years (3 in october) I've had growth down there but honestly it wasn't much for me. It's definitely noticeable but nothing for me to brag about at all. It really differs for everyone. Some guys get around 2 inches+ of growth and some like me are just below an inch.

I've been on T for a relatively short time but it's noticeable. It starts growing as soon as you start T and becomes noticeable quite quickly. I'm on a standard dose of T as well.

Ditto Elis--the growth, such as it was, came very quickly. I started on a so-called full dose.

My first symptoms were down there, actually--my part was sort of twitching. Very odd.

I've been on T for 16mo and there has been growth but I honestly didn't notice until probably 6 or 7 months in.

Mine was definitely noticeable in the first 4-8 weeks. Continued to grow slightly after that, but started almost immediately. Similar to voice drop actually, where the most noticeable change was within weeks and then final results continue subtly for a while.

I've been on for three years. mine doesn't stick out of the folds or anything (not sure what the average is for everybody) so mine didn't grow much and probably won't anymore which is fine with me. BUT I could definitely feel a difference/could feel it get a bit bigger, because when I'm aroused I can feel it more and feels way more noticeable than it did before HRT. There's no difference to me when it comes to anything else besides sex, not really noticeable

Downstairs growth was the first change I noticed. Unfortunately the way everything was shaped during fetal development for me means it still looks very female shaped and I got pretty upset about that. Some guys get really lucky with growth. Some don't.

What do you mean by female shaped? I assumed it looks the same for everyone.

I noticed downstairs growth very quickly (and I had started with Androgel, switching to injections nearly a year later). Its definitely fatter when aroused.
As far as 'female shaped',  mine basically looks like a smallish uncircumcised penis (and other trans guys I've been with look similar).

Agree with Elis. It didn't take long for me to notice it, and I think it started while I was on a half dose. It's also an irreversible effect of T so even if you were to stop you'd still have whatever growth you had achieved by the time you stopped.

Most bottom surgeons that I've spoken with agree that 2 years on T is about the length of time required to see maximum results.

I've seen a lot of photos of t dicks and they do NOT all look the same.

Mine only resembles a penis from above. Straight on you can see the head is formed by the edges of the labia, rather than extending past them. Technically, the labia are the crurae of the penis, but they're not supposed to be larger than it. My micropenis basically looks like enlarged female genitalia. It makes me feel awful.

I should also add that I had a friend who started on a ridiculously small dose and tapered up quite slowly, but he had growth even when on the lowest dose. You don't need to be on a full dose to see progress, but your growth would likely be a little more gradual on a low dose.

Thank you for sharing everyone. When I took T in the past, I didn't notice anything and that was the only reason I even looked at that area. For the meta procedure, surgeons require guys to be at least 2 years on T and I am assuming the HRT to be continuous and not an on/off thing?

All that's required for bottom surgery procedures is 1 year on T, unless you have extenuating circumstances with your health that make that impossible. You can still experience growth post-meta. The only reason they recommend waiting for the full 2 years is to see what your maximum size potential is. It gives the surgeon a better idea of whether or not you'll be able to achieve your goals with meta or if phallo is a better option.
